Bwa ha ha ha ha! Thank you Green Bay. Now that Dallas is out, I don't care who wins the Super Bowl :D

Jerome

I read that Super Bowl LI ticket prices went down once the Dallas Cowboys were defeated. Probably the hopes of one or both Texas NFL teams were in the price for the Super Bowl tickets.

So...can somebody tell me why Antonio Brown had a press conference today? Is this white sports writers trying to shut down personalities of a majority black sport?

He's apologizing for the Facebook Live video her did after they beat the Chiefs. I'm guessing he's trying to avoid some kind of action from the NFL.

I excuse my slowpoke nature, but what was in the Facebook Live that got everyone in an uproar?

Oh, Brown posted a 20-ish minute long Facebook Live video in the locker room after Sunday's game. Mike Tomlin's speech was captured where he called the Patriots a bunch of a-holes and used a whole bunch of other "inappropriate language". Since we live in a society that gets offended by swear words, people got in an uproar about it. It does violate league policy and it did capture a fair bit of man-ass throughout the video, but I think people are making a bigger deal of it then what it is. You can YouTube the video, but it's not terrible interesting.

Of course. Not surprised at all.

I heard on the radio this morning on my way to work that he didn't exactly apologize, or if he did, they didn't mention that part. Instead they were discussing how he, in typical Diva Wide Receiver fashion, gave some answers that just made himself look worse:

Press: Do you have some sort of contract with Facebook?
Brown: That's Top Secret.

Press: Is this something you will ever do again?
Brown: You'll have to watch and find out.

Press: Were you aware of the NFL rule which prohibits players from using social media 90 minutes before and after a game?
Brown: No I was not aware. This is something I've been doing for a while.

That's a rule? Seems pretty ridiculous to me.

Thanks. Apparently the talk show hosts didn't care about that part.

Yes it's a rule to protect the stupid players from themselves on social media and to make sure anything released from inside the stadium goes through the team management or league first.

The original rule went back to around the origins of Twitter and Ocho Cinco, if I remember right, but it was revised this season. Article.

I want Atlanta to win so badly it's not even funny. And Pittsburgh.

As a Saints fan, I'm pretty torn. On the one hand, I don't want the Falcons to win simply because they're our rivals. At the same time though, it would be nice to have a NFC South team to make it to the Super Bowl two years in a row.

Join the club fellow Saints fan. Hopefully they'll go the same way as Carolina next season.

In other news, got a nice Saints Brees Jersey at the Southampton event. :)

Vegas, baby! If all goes well, the Oakland Raiders will leave Oakland and go to Las Vegas. Can you imagine the Las Vegas Raiders? They'll cover Vegas in black and silver.

I think Vegas Raiders has a better flow to it.

Vegas Raiders would sound good. Then again, you have the (assuming) Las Vegas Raiders of the NFL along with the forthcoming Vegas Golden Knights of the NHL. I don't know... would be a bit strange to have two teams with just Vegas rather than Las Vegas.

There has to be about 24 votes or so for the relocation to be complete for Oakland to move the franchise to Las Vegas. I even remember the possibility of the Oakland Raiders to come down here to Texas and play in San Antonio. It surely will help Las Vegas to have both an NHL team and a potential NFL team.

As widely popular as the Raiders are, I think they could get away without the city name.

I guess I'm rooting for Atlanta to win it all, but only because I have Matt Ryan and Julio Jones in my keeper fantasy league.

My wife is a Steelers fan so I'll be rooting for them but as long as it isn't the Patriots I'll be happy.

The general consensus here on GTPlanet seems like basically "anybody but the Patriots!" Most others are looking for the Dirty Birds to defeat the Packers. All we know is... we're going to have one of these matches for Super Bowl LI here in Houston:

* Patriots vs. Packers
* Patriots vs. Falcons
* Steelers vs. Packers
* Steelers vs. Falcons

Which of these four will happen? We'll see this weekend. I have no real idea who'll play for the Lombardi Trophy this season. Even if at the expense of sportscasters 🤬-riding, Patriots vs. Packers is obviously the hottest matchup, and probably the most favored matchup. I'd probably feel sad since my Texans lost to both Green Bay and New England (twice to NE). But we'll see what happens this weekend.

(EDITOR'S NOTE) I posted this initially in a wrong thread. All's cool now!
