    Also for a better connection it is a good idea to restart your router before starting the game.

    3: RULES REGULATIONS & PENALTIES
    Race Rules
    The stewards spend many hours planning to make this series run as fair & smoothly as we can, for this we need your cooperation.

    To post race incidents to be reviewed as follows.....

    Race incidents
    must be reported on the forum within 24 hours of the race finishing.
    These will be reviewed by only those stewards who are not in anyway involved.

    Incident reports.
    Any driver that has or witnesses any
    contact / unfair aggressive / reckless / regular short cutting - with intent, that would be deemed unsportsmanlike and not a genuine mistake
    can be reported on the forum within 24 hours of the race finish.

    This must not be in any way to blame or explain, it will only ask the stewards to review.
    This is the format of the report

    Thats all.

    This will allow the stewards to look without prejudice at the incident.
    It will be important that stewards review and decide fair or foul within 48 hours of the race as
    Penalties given may be reflected in a points penalty or a drop of places for the race start.
    Incidents will be reviewed by the stewards and any penalties will be posted by Wednesday night.

    When posting an incident report, please only do so if the outcome is worth reporting.
    If the car that contacts you is out of control or contact is made unintentionally
    then we cannot penalise the offending driver.
    Only incidents where there is clearly Intent to overtake or bully without regard for the
    other driver or generally driving in a manner that is deemed ungentlemanly or short cutting regularly.

    Most of us are not mega fast, but we always try to be fair and that needs to be very important and understood.

    The only exception to this rule will be made if a car is forced by another car outside or they are avoiding an accident.

    If your car runs very wide and you have no momentum to rejoin the track without using the throttle you are permitted to do so if your car speed falls below 30mph 48kph and you can only then gain a speed of 30mph 48kph until 2 wheels are inside the track limits.

    Any driver that does not adhere to the rules will face penalty points for each incident.

    Pit Entry & Exit lines must also be adhered to at all times possible.

    NO DRIVER MUST DRIVE IN THE REVERSE DIRECTION


    This is a Zero contact series, as with damage on, even a little nudge can lead to a huge loss of time with damage.

    All drivers will be expected to drive with due care and consideration to other drivers.
    Bumping cars ahead and causing them to run wide or rubbing alongside cars and forcing them to run wide and gaining any advantage must be rectified by giving back any position gained.

    Overtaking

    It will be the responsibility of the overtaking driver to ensure there is no contact between cars at any time.
    If a driver forces another car off the track by attempting an overtake and then leaves no room for the car being overtaken to continue will be penalised.
    If a driver being overtaken clearly weaves or moves to block and causes contact there will be heavy penalties.
    All drivers must ensure that they do all they can to avoid contact.
    The driver ahead must always give room to a car that is 1/4 length or more alongside going into a corner.

    All avoidable accidents reported will be reviewed and will points deducted at the stewards discretion.

    Being lapped
    Cars being lapped should always allow cars through to battle without interference.
    Even if running at their pace, let them through then follow.
    Drivers can unlap themselves if they feel they can pass and clear the leaders without interference.

    ANY TIME THAT YOU ARE OUT OF TRACK LIMITS -
    YOU MUST TOUCH BRAKE PEDAL FOR 1 SEC TO AVOID A POST RACE PTS PENALTY.
    SHOWING A BRAKE LIGHT WILL INDICATE TO OTHERS THE SELF PENALTY.

    Driver Points Penalties:


    -- Drivers will be given reprimands for minor incidents. Three reprimands - 2 Championship Point Penalty

    -- Cutting Pit Exit Line - 1 Championship Point Penalty

    -- Over Aggressive Driving or Illegal Blocking - 2 Championship Point Penalty

    -- Ignoring Blue Flags - 2 Championship Point Penalty

    -- Running Another Car Off Track - 3 Championship Point Penalty (Depense on severity of incident)

    -- Rejoining Track After an Off Without Regards To Oncoming Traffic - 3 Championship Point Penalty

    -- Each Violations of Track limits - the driver must apply brakes for 1 second as a self penalty.
    -- If he fails to do this he will get a 2 point Championship Points Penalty for each instance.

    -- Ramming/Causing Avoidable Collision - Disqualification from Race Results or up to 10 Championship point penalty

    4: LIVE QUALIFYING SETTINGS & PROCEDURE

    ALTHOUGH YOU MAY RUN PRACTICE Q SESSIONS.
    EACH DRIVER GETS ONLY 1 OFFICIAL ATTEMPT DECLARED BEFORE THE SESSION.

    Deadline for qualifying is 18:00 Uk Sundays prior to race.
    Drivers must not drive in reverse of the track direction.
    Officials Qualifying must be observed by other officials.
    Unqualified Drivers will start at the back in descending championship points order.

    After arranging with an official - the official will create a room with the exact settings above.
    He will ensure the car spec is correct.
    He will then allow only the Q driver to enter pitbox.


    He will start the 5 Lap Race
    The Driver then has
    LAP 1 OUT LAP
    3 FLYING TIMED LAPS
    5TH LAP SLOW DOWN LAP.

    THE OFFICIAL MUST
    OBSERVE THE DRIVER THROUGHOUT THE FLYING LAPS
    NOTE DOWN ANY TRACK LIMITS VIOLATIONS FOR EACH LAP
    SAVE THE REPLAY IN CASE OF DISPUTE
    ADD PENALTY TIME FOR EACH TRACK LIMIT VIOLATIONS PER LAP
    POST THE BEST LAP FOR THE DRIVER ON THE FORUM

    6: RACE NIGHT ENTERING ROOM PROCEDURE

    A new race lobby after the host has made a full reset of his router and pan
    and has cleared his cashe will be created at 18:15 Uk time on Monday night's Race night.
    All drivers must only enter the Race room after they have also completed a full Reset.

    Drivers must only enter and go to the pitbox.
    Once a driver is in the pitbox he must not go into any settings.

    The only exception for leaving is if he cannot see all other drivers,
    after confirming with the host.
    He will then be asked to leave the room and rejoin, once again going straight into the
    Pitbox and waiting to be called onto the track for the formation lap to the grid.
    Any driver that leaves the pitbox will get a penalty point deducted.

    7: ROLLING START PROCEDURE

    The Race will be started once all drivers have been called out onto the grid in
    qualification order.

    When called out, each driver must drive slowly around the track and line up single file in the order called out.

    When all drivers are in position the race will be started.

    When the lights go green, the pole sitter will slowly lead away the field in single file.
    Drivers must maintain a 2 car length gap between the car in front.

    The pole sitter will gradually increase his speed, and will only go flat out when he crosses
    the start/finish line.

    NO DRIVER MUST EXCEED 120KPH / 75MPH BEFORE CROSSING THE START FINISH LINE.

    No driver can go full speed until they have crossed the start/finish line.

    There must be no accelerating and heavy braking on the pace lap, it should be a very
    smooth and very gradual increase in speed through the pace lap maintaining a 2 car length gap.

    8: DELAYS & POSTPONEMENT

    If a race has been delayed by more than 30 minutes -
    caused by server or connection issues it can be postponed, Cancelled or Rerun at a later date.

    9: CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SCORING
    Pole: 1 Point

    Fastest Race Lap:
    1 Point

    -1st place = 25 points
    -2nd place = 20 points
    -3rd place = 18 points
    -4th place = 16 points
    -5th place = 14 points
    -6th place = 12 points
    -7th place = 10 points
    -8th place = 9 points
    -9th place = 8 points

    11th place = 6 points
    12th place = 5 points
    13th place = 4 points
    14th place = 3 points

    Drivers with equal points will be as follows.
    1 - Highest result in a race then subsequent results.
    2 - If still equal the the first driver to achieve the highest result.

    10: CHAMPIONSHIP LEADERS BALLAST PENALTIES
    To try to keep the championship points as close as possible,
    the top 6 championship points leaders will carry weight ballast for the following standings.
    In Qualifying and the race.

    1ST + 60KG
    2ND + 50KG
    3RD + 40KG
    4TH + 30KG
    5TH + 20KG
    6TH + 10KG


    THE FINAL ROUND WILL HAVE NO BALLAST PENALTIES

    Max ride height: more grip and traction, but slow top speed and acceleration.
    Min ride height: less grip, but better top speed and acceleration.
    This means that max front and min rear gives more rotation.

    Max spring rate: less grip, but reacts to steering input faster, thus giving you more turn in and control.

    This means that min front and max rear gives more rotation.

    dampers react the same way as spring rate, but its much better to keep dampers at 1 and adjust spring rate instead. as long as you don't go to extreme values, don't bother with the game's instructions that dampers should be adjusted accordingly to spring rate. (it is very true in real life, but in GT6 its not needed).

    Max Anti Roll Bar gives more grip.
    Min Anti Roll Bar gives less grip.
    Anti Roll Bar is interesting though, because if lowering a Anti Roll Bar, the grip increases on that axle, but if you lower both axles, the total grip is lower, not higher...

    Camber delays the grip, just as in real life, but in contrast to real life, it does not get better when under load.
    So 0/0 is pretty much always preferred, only exception is heavily under steering cars, then you can use rear camber to make the rear step out to get it to slide a little, but its a last resort, if everything else fails.

    Toe is great for adjusting car behavior.
    negative front toe increases rotation, but can make the car behave weird on turn in
    positive front toe reduces rotation, but makes it smoother on entry.

    negative rear toe increases rotation (heavily), a huge benefit on entry and mid turn, but it can kill traction out of corners.
    All FWD cars will benefit from this as they don't need rear traction.
    4WD will also benefit from this because of their great traction capabilities.
    The Chaparral 2J is another car that needs huge amount of negative rear toe, due to its fan system giving it traction.

    Whether you’re aware of it or not, you learned the basic rules of track lapping in kindergarten: Get in line, stay in line, and follow the line. And no hitting others. Mastering the concept, however, requires a physicist’s understanding of how dramatically a slight misstep can adversely affect your lap times. Here’s a primer on how to find and keep the correct racing line, as demonstrated by the Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 on Virginia International Raceway.

    1. Hit the marks
    Rather than tracing the shortest path around a track, the optimal line is the largest-radius arc through a corner, raising the speed possible at the limit of cornering grip and reducing the power consumed by tire scrub. Failure to properly execute the three main elements of a corner—the turn-in, apex, and track-out points—results in a slower speed and a longer lap time. At Virginia International Raceway (VIR), the largest arc through Turn 3 has a radius of 270 feet. Knowing a car’s maximum skidpad grip, we can use the formula shown above to calculate its highest possible speed through the bend. In this case, a car with 1.10 g’s of stick can hold the line through Turn 3 up to 66.7 mph. If you don’t use the full track and miss the turn-in, apex, and track-out points by one foot each, the radius falls to 263 feet and the theoretical speed drops to 65.9 mph.

    2. Fast corners make for fast straights
    The constant-radius, steady-speed corner is a simplification of the ideal racing line. In most turns, it’s more important to maximize exit speed than the average speed through the corner. That’s because an extra mile per hour at the corner exit adds roughly 1 mph to the average speed over the duration of the subsequent straight. Exit VIR’s Turns 11 and 12 and you enter a 2387-foot straight and, in the Camaro Z/28, begin 15 or so seconds of full-throttle acceleration. The straight culminates in a top speed of 135.2 mph with an average velocity of 110.3 mph. Drop that average speed to 109.3 mph through here and your lap time becomes 0.13 second longer.

    3. Going slower to go faster
    Optimizing corner-exit speeds means improving on the constant-radius arc. Moving the apex past the midpoint of the corner increases the radius in the second half of the turn, and unwinding the steering wheel reduces the cornering load on the tires. More traction is now available for full-throttle acceleration.

    Our GPS data from the Z/28 running through VIR’s Turn 13 reveals that our modified line was faster than a constant-radius path, with trail braking and a late apex allowing for an earlier throttle application. Compared with a constant-radius arc, this line raises the average speed by 1.3 mph and increases the Camaro’s speed by 10 mph at the corner exit.

    4. Braking points
    Just as the fast line blends cornering and acceleration on corner exit, braking lightly in the Z/28 while turning in shortens the car’s lap time. Controlled deceleration increases front-tire loading while diminishing rear-tire loading, two effects that enable a higher rate of yaw, or rotation of the vehicle toward the apex. In VIR’s Turn 13, a 148-foot stretch of trail braking in the Z/28 trims 0.19 second versus a rigidly segmented brake-turn-go approach.

    The track wet % indicator is only relevant to the darker rubbered in racing line on the track.

    When rain starts and the indicator shows 0% it will still be wet offline.

    After rain ends and the indicator shows 0% it will still be wet offline for several laps.

    In the dry with dry tyres the best grip is on the darker racing line on the track.

    In the wet with dry tyres the best grip is still on the darker racing line on the track.

    In the wet with Rain tyres the best grip is off the darker racing line on the track.

    Inters best working range from 10% to 55%
    Heavy wets best working range from 55% to 100%

    Firstly I have to say regardless of the fact I missed many races during the Sls series, I thoughly enjoyed racing with everyone and I have to say a massive thank you to @Stephen Vann for allowing me to participate in the series so thanks..
    I also will most certainly be in for the new series not too keen on the car mind but will soldier on through and learn how the car works and make it suit my driving style to the best of my ability...
    Car No: 23, not sure on colour yet but will let u know next time I'm online...

    Also All drivers.
    We now have 2 test races before the series kicks off.

    Ideally if any drivers wither now or through the series feels they are in the wrong group,
    please just post me and tell me, i try to look at the data accumulated on those of you i know
    to make it as fair as possible.
    Ideally if everyone had a crash free race we would all be converging on the finish line on the last 10 minutes of the race.
    Thats the plan anyway, however of course some are better at some tracks than others so being accurate is very difficult.
    In the end, although its a dictatorship i do listen and do try to be as fair as is possible with so many different driver skill levels.

    As this is so difficult to do over individual races, i really try to look at the championship overall.

    However if anyone feels they are totally out of sync with their driver group, let me know.

    Thanks for the invitation @Stephen Vann, just when I was losing interest in GT6 I discovered the previous SLS series and it absolutely breathed new life into the game for me. And as for this series....I'm certainly IN!

    we only have max power limit, that is 630 Bhp

    we have no limit on pp, and no limit on the way you achieve the 630 bhp.
