Guess this means Paul Page won't be calling races this year.

 
For the first time in its history, the Indy 500 will have a presenting sponsor. It's a good way to cheapen the centenary:

They could have waited for the 101st. But hey, more money for the teams perhaps.
 
Its not really cheap until it becomes the PennGrade Motor Oil 500. As a presenting sponsor, I'm not really bother by it and besides, everyone will always refer to it as Indy 500.
 
It's just a "Presented by..." thing, not so bad. I mean, the 12 Hours of Sebring has had a "Presented by..." for ages, not that bad.
 
Ganassi couldn't find any other reputable sponsor for Sage?

I realize he was terrible last year, but there has to be better sponsors out there...
 
I'm usually not one for advocating corporate sponsorship, but more sponsors mean more awareness and money and there is no better year to do so.

The car is being entered by Dreyer & Reinbold, Sage no longer has a contract with Ganassi.

Sage isn't driving for Ganassi this year. He is only doing the 500 with Dreyer & Reinbold.

You probably won't like Viper Exchange's sponsor for the 24 Hours of Daytona either.

I've got bad news about the Karam livery. It's actually much worse. He posted a pic of the livery on the current aero kit on Instagram and it's absolutely gut wrenching.
 
Article mentions that Newgarden will be on the grid this year. Looks like Carpenter might have to scale back his half of it to keep Newgarden on track.
 
A check from Chip for 250k to Sarah/Wink and he will be in the 4th Ganassi car at St.Pete.
 
Why does it seem like every time IndyCar gets a little momentum something happens to push it the other way?
 
This looked inevitable from Hartman's case. Oil simply isn't worth as much. And it's sad because Newgarden might be really hampered by this.

I doubt it, Newgarden has been around for a while, and Ed knows his way around the ovals, if anything they will have less distractions without having to provide information to the other car,
 
He wasn't that bad in Indy Lights last year, and he did win at Iowa, but there was also no real standout performer.
 
I think Chilton will be okay. He'll be more suited and his first win in America came at an oval which I wasn't expecting. He won't wow the crowd but he's a welcome addition.
