This weekend's SuperView schedule for those in the USA:

6:50pm PST / 9:50pm EST - Race 1
9:15pm PST / 12:15am EST - Race 2

4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST - Race 3 Qualifying
5:40pm PST / 8:40pm EST - Top 10 Shootout
8:20pm PST / 11:20pm EST - Race 3

So, we're all in agreement that the green Castrol stripe on the bonnet of the PRA Falcons is horrible.

Well, now it's worse: PRA are running Jack LeBrocq and Garry Jacobson in the Dunlop Series, and Jacobson's design is horrible - white bonnet with blue stripe instead of green, a black bumper and splitter, no sponsors and minimal effort.

Speaking of the Dunlop Series, Dan Day continues to be useless.

Love the sound of racing cars in the morning.

It's already pretty warm here at 9am. Teams have been told to make sure they're prepared for the predicted 38-39° weather this weekend.

PRA have absolutely no sense of good appearance, their DVS cars look so amateur.

I'm not a fan of GRM's new number font. Sure, it looks nice standing still, but watching their DVS entries, the numbers just look like a yellow block.

I'm in a similar situation to the drivers with the in-car temps. I drive an old truck without aircon. The only thing I'm missing is the triple-layer nomex suit & helmut. It's about time they made aircon compulsory in Supercars. If it was a control item that powered up whenever the car was running, no one could gain an unfair advantage by choosing not to run it.
Make it happen Supercars.

They're not much easier to read in person. Dale Wood's number is impossible to make out. I appreciated the uniformity they had before, from a sporting perspective, plus some people have terrible taste when it comes to typography. They should at least govern the spacing of the lettering.

Meanwhile, Winterbottom was so close to putting himself in the wall at turn 8 on his first practice lap.

Really encouraged by the consistent pace Courtney has shown so far this weekend. Think McLaughlin, SVG, Whincup and Mostert are going to be the guys to beat though.

Hmm, Caruso P1 in morning practice. Good stuff.

I thought about that when the Corvettes came out with their "a/c" at LeMans some years ago. Steven Richards pointed out his a/c in the M6. It does need to be mandatory.

About the PRA cars: I don't mind the Castrol sticker. It's all about the black wheels for me. Keep that if anything.
Now, if a team(DJRTP hint.hint.)would just use white for their wheels...

Edit: Carrera Cup- Umm, Padayachee... uh, yeah... :thumbs down:

Something positive from the Dunlop Series - it's nice to see the young, quick guys getting a chance to shine; LeBrocq, Jacobson, Golding and Hazelwood are all doing a stand-up job. I appreciate that the likes of Paul Dumbrell give them a benchmark for them to compare themselves against, but in the past few years the championship has been the Paul Dumbrell show. Given his pedigree and the way Triple Eight keep him there so that his skills are finely-honed for the enduros, it's always felt a bit cheap when he dominates. It would be like Mercedes running Lewis Hamilton in GP2 so that he can have more track time.

Figured out why I missed the first qualifying session last night. The timer for the live stream is 30 minutes off. It's race 1 stream should start a minute ago but it still shows 29 minutes on the countdown. WTF.

Edit: Found a way to get it to work. Ugh. Edit 2: or not. :( Edit 3: apparently it starts in a couple minutes. Everything is all fubar'd this year.

Well, according to the final standings of the Dunlop Series race, nobody actually finished ...

More like ye ol' Nationwide Series. I thought it was cheating having Edwards run in Nationwide on Saturdays and then, race on Sunday getting miles under his belt.

I don't know how something like that plays out in V8s. Would PRA be able to put Mostert in a DVS car if one the PRA DVS drivers falls ill. Don't know(contracts, insurance, fees, sponsors, blah blah blah).

I still can't believe they continue to use those horrible 3D models of the cars to show the grid.

Knew that was going to happen. Just needs to hold position. The Nissan looks speedy

Well, 2016 was interesting for all of three metres. I had already changed the channel before the end of the first lap.

Slade in the wall at turn 9. Went too late and locked it up from what I saw.

Well, that messed up Pye's race. They left him out too long.

Worked well for R.Kelly and Todd.

Pye really messed up by that pit stop, lost all chance of a good finish for him

05XR8 is right. It's because Whincup bolts to the front, controls the race, and everything is about as interesting as watching paint dry.
We finally agree on something. But my next thought is that maybe they'll f-up the pit stop, which didn't happen.

Not his fault. The team however...

Poor Tim Slade having an argument saying he doesn't need to go in the truck.

Tim Slade's car had a Pratt & Miller sticker on the window, not sure if the same Pratt & Miller as the guys who run the Corvette programs, but it could be.

Cool. All four manufacturers I. The top 10.

Not enough laps. The Nissan is fast!
If Todd can get around the #33, might have a chance for a run at top 3.

But my next thought is that maybe they'll f-up the pit stop, which didn't happen.
No, I'm willing to bet that they pitted just in time to take advantage of a safety car that they have the seemingly supernatural ability to predict.
