Winterbottom has been takings is chances with turn 8 all weekend. Wasn't at all surprised to see him scrape along there on his run.

It's going to be tough but hopefully he can work his way up to the front. The rain, if it happens will make things very interesting.

Turn 8, it is indeed live coverage too. Weather is coming in from the north-ish. It was only spitting and has now stopped but there's still more grey clouds on the way.

Yeah I was hoping that it'd be another entertaining race like last year but if the rain sticks around, SVG will run away with this easily.
 
Coulthards number 12 has the same font as what Penske use for Will Power's Indycar, pretty neat.
 
I'd like a wet start and the rain to stick around for a while, but I don't think it'll happen. Maybe a few spits and maybe that'll be it.

Maybe I'll be wrong, the rain is starting to fall.

Yeah, I just got soaked on the short walk from the beer garden to my seats.
 
Wet tyres going on right now for a lot of cars.
 
I saw a bit of lightning too.

Edit: the condition of the track is even worse now, a few seconds after taking the photo.

Holy crap. Winterbottom just about put it in the wall at Turn 8.

The water is pooling up pretty big at Turn 8 from the looks of it.
 
Dumb move.and he has the #1. What a way to start your championship. It only helps if there is a pile up at the start.

Race is going to be much shorter now, especially if there are safety car periods
