I kind of figured that Ford in particular would struggle more than anyone else in GTLM since they are returning to the GT ranks for the first time in years. Everyone else with new cars has some experience with racing in this class that at least can sort of carry over.

This is pure speculation on my part, but I'm wondering if you despise the Ford GTs
 
I'm expecting those M6 GTLM cars have massive bonnet blow overs at some point, those are flapping about like an outhouse door in a wind storm, get some race tape on that sucker!
 
This reminds me of when Jeremy Clarkson got his Ford GT. :lol:

I was hoping it wouldn't be so bad, it's the same Eco-Boost 6 that's been in the DP the past couple of years isn't it?
 
The 01 is going slow
 
Stroll overtook the safety car, so had to wait and let it pass again.

It is, but it's also in a different body with a different cooling system packaging.
 
While on the one hand I'm happy to see a delta finally go well on the other I just can't support such a tacky and cliché livery. Stars and strips with 'god bless 'murica' on the side? Please.

Well it was in a different car too with different electronics, not necessarily everything carries over.

But why do we need 20-30 minute safety car periods for something like this... it's just a gimmick to bunch the field.
 
The Fords do have pace but it's the case of new car gremlins that's putting them on the back foot.

If it was Code 60 we would be back racing now, not waiting another 20 minutes for everyone to pit.
