Yes.
If Max is not involved then it is his fault. It's only when he is involved that it's debatable.
 
So not only has he spoilt the last laps (probably), he's trying to lie himself out of the embarrassment.

Grosjean manages to have a big accident at that corner under SC, I don’t even want to imagine how big an accident could be while at race pace at that corner.
 
It's not the first time Grosjean has crashed at a stupid time.

Grosjean has form for it - but at least this time he didn't do it into a spot occupied by a crowd of marshalls about 20 seconds previously.

It was Max's fault, he was part of the crash that caused the safety car
