Some lucky Korean player could win the Freedom of Mexico City if they were to score now...
If South Korea scored, they'd be tied with Germany on points, goals scored and goal difference, so would be placed ahead of them on the basis of beating them... and Germany would be bottom of the group

Incredible. South Korea are so awful and still the Germans can't win.

6 minutes of extra time. What a load of ********.

Oooh. That might be it for the Germans.

ITS A GOAL HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Offside overturned by VAR rightly. Germany have 3 minutes to score 2 goals

Edit: :confused::lol:

R.I.P Germany :'(

Welp. The German invasion of our beaches will start a bit sooner.

Note to self. Don't win the World Cup if you want to get to the last 16 next time.

UN-****ING-BELIEVE!!!

For sale. Tickets all the way to the finals.

Important observation.
It was a ****ing awful game.

Never thought I'd see the day...

Germany thoroughly deserve to be knocked out.

There's no other way to look at it.

Germany were terrible!

Well, my grandma and german anchestors are just way dissapointed...

Unlucky for Korea - if Mexico had played to form and beaten Sweden, then Korea would be in the Last 16 now.

Hilarious.

One German word: Schadenfreude.

There'll be a lot of komasaufen across Germany tonight.

Barely caught the end but seeing Germany sit back as if they were expecting to get punished in the last few minutes was painfully unbecoming of the (former) world champions.

Now we need the entire world to pray, root, perform any sort of voodoo ritual, or just cheer for Serbia tonight.

What. The. Actual. 🤬 is this WC. This is so bad it's actually great.

At least we entered with more decency to the Round of 16 than Argentina by playing 2 formidable games: Winning our first official game against Germany, the now former World Champs, and against a very solid Korean team...

I'm happy with it, since I thought Mexico wouldn't even make it this far.

Now, we wait... and I really really hope Neymar and company join the Germans tonight.

Brazil's turn tonight!

I'm just happy that England got the whole "qualifying for the Last-16" malarkey over before the next game. I'm not sure my nerves would survive.

And for that, I officially forgive South Korea for that 2002 World Cup round of 16.

Sweden:
35% possession
Wins 3-0

South Korea:
30% possession
Wins 2-0

:D
