What about the obvious one?

What surprises me is that they haven't even bothered to put a McLaren logo anywhere on it.

Going by their logo size, should we call it Kimoa33 or something? :D

If you look at the very tip of the nose, the logo's there. Its size though makes it barely distinguishable in some photos.

Are they trying to hide who the car belongs to?!

Certainly gives that impression, doesn't it?

That said, having Renault power must be so embarrassing that they didn't even put the badge on the nose.

Really hoping for a mid field surprise this year.

What a story would it be for Sauber to fight for podiums or even wins, but then I guess Ferrari would know all their secrets

Could you imagine if Sauber turned into the best of the rest this year?

I see the joke, but it's always there, gotta know who manufactured these cars in a classy way. Though in years past it was better than that.

I like the use of the McLaren logo, it stands out more even for as small as it is, and just seems to look better. Though I don't see why they can't make the current logo more bold.

Force India did a thing I wasn't prepared for:

^^ That livery looks bad, BWT gotta come up with an alternative logo if it wants to be on a racing car.

Looks like Renault powered cars will start on the back foot, imagine if Honda are quicker. Mercedes look like they are changing their engine the most so the others will probably be hoping they get it wrong.

I suppose McLaren are being brave leaving Honda when they might improve the most and going to compete against two of the top F1 teams, if they are third best Renault team then they might largely be scrapping for the tail end of the points like they have done end of last season and probably hurt their chances of getting sponsorship. I hope they manage to compete well with Red Bull, be kind of sad if they don't.

This season might be hardest for the smaller budget teams in terms of getting points in the hybrid era. If everyone is more reliable and the flailing top teams like Renault and McLaren are now back in the game in terms of performance then that is pretty much top 10 locked out so reliability might be main factor for the smaller teams. Williams will probably need to have built a rocket ship and/or Mercedes PU must really step up their game, otherwise I don't really see their drivers getting any points (Even if it is not totally down to them, they might face a stronger backlash) given how strong the driver line-up in the big five teams are and even Force India.

Really like FI livery, could be all white from nose through to the halo though.
Also McLaren off to a flying start

No jokes about the wheels coming off at McLaren already please

Having the logo somewhere on the car won't make it any more reliant, Robin.

^It's amazing how wrong that statement is

What's amazing is your weak grasp of basic logic. Liking a livery or disliking it is subjective and down to personal taste.

I really like the new FI livery. I think adding white to it, made it so much better than last years livery.
I also like their choice of rims. I think they look much better than the ones that everyone else is using.

I'm still happy to see FI embrace the pink. It's not a bad looking livery in my eyes. Good for them.

The camo was just en expensive PR stunt, because Red Bull. There's a video on their youtube channel with Ricciardo as he's suiting up for that one quick drive at Silverstone for the camera. He has to put on blue camo racing shoes and says quote, "they went all out for this". All that just for PR and hiding the thing that little bit longer until testing. Could have used that money for the car...
