Sirotkin's race is over, not like it ever started though. Should have a fine or a time penalty on track so his race isn't totally ruined

Max is working his way up to Vettel or Raikkonen's sidepod quite nicely.

And Stroll is just an idiot now that whines (see practice sessions). He says something is wrong with the front end. Can he really not tell what a flat tire is?

He may as well retire now since he's been lapped by almost the entire field.

The Williams story in general is a sad one. His accident was stupid recklessness and I think sponsors stopped wanting to be with them after Senna so that changed everything.

They started the turbo era right. Good package, best engine.

But they've fallen predictably two or three places in the rankings per year over the past four seasons.

I'm struggling to understand how they could do the whole race on one set of hypersofts and one set of ultrasofts - despite being a low speed track, 60-odd laps on the ultrasofts seems a tall order...

I'm guessing Vandoorne's pit stop was lousy cause he's now dropped back to 17th.

Are they using the same low-squirm tread they introduced last race?

There's a roughly 20 KPH difference between Ricciardo and Vettel. :guilty:

I'd wager that Red Bulls best shot is to wait for Vettel to pit and for Danny to pit afterwards.

They're still ten seconds ahead of Lewis.

Which is the only good news for Danny, at this point.

The only reasons Vettel hasn't gotten by is because it's Monaco and Ricciardo is still driving hard

Gutted for Ricciardio, hopefully he can hold it together in P1 for the rest of the race... but it seems unlikely.

If I were Merc I'd gamble on Ric/Vet's tyres not lasting and go for an undercut stop while they're so slow.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I think Max will finish in the top 5 when all is said and done. Or he'll crash. There's no in between.

Could this all come back to Lewis? Intriguing thought.

Lewis is catching up.

And Vettel's got a grained front tire from tailing Ricciardo too closely.
