Super interesting front wing on the Alfa. The winglets the connect to the end plates, and the nose is a combo of last years, and the Red Bull snout.
Yes, this front wing, if it makes it to the race-day car, is quite a bit different from anything we've see so far.

Telefonica Renault meets Bic biro.

Awful.

When you remember the old 'telefonica' renault ... the mclaren looks more like a renault as the renault does. :D

McLaren livery 👍

McLaren front wing
That's the simplest thing we've seen so far.

Alfa looking very interesting.

Telefonica Renault? Do you mean the Mild Seven era? I don’t see any relation to that design, and I don’t feally get the Bic Biro idea either. I did see that same joke on an FB comment section and it had a bunch of reactions, so maybe it’s me.

Comparing all the new F1 cars presented so far, I'm more impressed with the Mercedes than any other. Their extreme solutions in keeping the front suspension out of the wing vortex and the lengths they've gone to improve rear tire life makes them the clear favorite to repeat, IMHO.
However, I do see they are using less rake than others.

So far, my vote for best livery goes to McLaren.

It's not as though McLaren have deliberately copied Enstone but there is definitely a resemblance in colour scheme.

When I saw this shot from the front, having not known what the post was about, I really thought I was looking at a 2003-06 Renault.

Okay, let me rank all the launches so far based on livery....

Number 9- Red Bull
Just...Eugh. Why Red Bull why? There's too much red. The 2016 camo was awesome and so was 2018's. Let's hope the actual one's better. The car itself isn't bad though, but I can't notice anything special.
Verstappen will obviously do well, but not so sure about Gasly.

Number 8- Alfa Romeo
I kinda miss Sauber as it was my favourite apart from Ferrari in my F1 2005 game and was responsible for the C9 but no problem. Maroon looks terrible and so does this camo. Will update when the ca launches. I really love the nose, but the overhead air-intake is weird like last year's.
Kimi should provide a lot of info to the team and Giovinazzi's a wild card.

Number 7- Mercedes-AMG
Why Number 8? Too much black. the 2010/11 cars suffered from this and so does this one. Love the spoiler though.
Hamilton will naturally do some great drives and Bottas will be the "perfect wingman" as usual.

Number 6- Racing Point
I'm gonna miss Force India, as I'm Indian. Anyway, never liked this pink but more blue is good.
Consisent Perez and Dunce Stroll as drivers might leading for some interesting rivalry.

Number 5- Renault
Lemon yellow never looks great. But the design is good, and much better than the 'trousers' of 2016. Same as last year.
Ricciardo vs Hulkenberg is gonna be very interesting to watch. Very interesting indeed. MWAHAHAHHAH!

Number 4- Toro Rosso
Nice, inoffensive design, though not much of a fan. Chrome looks good too. Same as last year.
Kvyat, seriously? Whatever, let's give the guy a chance. Albon is another unknown.

Your posts seems to be a confusion of driver ranking and livery assessment - although several of the liveries are, as you note, not the actual liveries anyway. And you're missing the top three places. The above is a 14th Feb special, it's Valentine's Day in many places. I thought it looked really good in close up.

It's all a matter of opinion of course, but Mercedes at no.7?

(not no.8 btw)

A couple of lazy designs, and nothing stands out this year. I am happy to see "most" colour combos remaining as they make it very easy to pikc out cars on track. Sad to see the Haas lose its unique grey colour though.

Mercedes has been grey since 2010 (silver is just fancy grey, don't kid yourselves everyone ready to comment that).

Shame they've gone from looking like Mercedes to looking like Renault.

I'm a Mclaren fan and I adored last years livery. Easily my favourite last year (and one of my all time Mclaren liveries) but I feel the extra blue at the rear just ruins it this time.

McLaren seems to have split a lot of opinions. I think this is the best looking McLaren F1 car We’ve seen in the modern era. It all just works so well together

I may be in the minority but I like the bright orange and blue McLaren fire suits.

They're less likely to get run over when they're standing next to their own car on the side of the track wondering why their engine failed

Wow, the actual bodywork of the car looks a bit basic. I take it they're hiding stuff until testing because there really isn't much there that looks impressive.

The times seem to match up for when it was suppose to be posted, 9:30 UK time and judging by your post time that would be when it was released. Other than that, I'd say the rumors of the Matte paint being true doesn't make me any more prepared for how bad matte red looks, especially with the tacky mission winnow design.

I was thinking the same thing, that it's quite a basic design especially when you compare it to there key enemy (merc) and the Mclaren, hell even the Sauber again looks to be more daring than this effort. I'd say the Haas as well has more to it.

It leaked early on Racefans.net. The Ferrari launch was for 9:45am UK time (I watched about 5mins of the pre-amble).

I read other places it was set for 9:30 am UK time, either way it doesn't really matter leaked or not I think. Teams release images from time to time of their cars before the launch, we've already seen the Alfa but they have an official launch on Monday. Though that is a bit different since we'll see their season livery. Speaking of the Alfa there are better images of the car and it looks really good in its testing guise.

I'm wondering if that rather radical Alfa front wing might make its way onto the Ferrari at some point. Just not this early point :)

The Alfa front wing could be looking like it's missed my parts because it is. Maybe the full wing wasn't ready and the end pieces we're all wondering about do exist, just they weren't built for the shakedown.

There are end pieces on it now, but the elements from the centre don't meet it.
