Good job Alonso, knowing where to be on track

ALONSO TO THE LEAD!!!

Every time an Audi ends up the wrong way, my heart is in my throat because they’re just itching to throw a yellow, which could be it :nervous:

Nasr goes way deep in T1, Alonso to the lead.

Mercedes goes for a loop....this is nuts

At this point who HASN'T spun?!

Turn 1 and the bus stop are absolutely murdering everyone.

Can someone cap a screenshot of the Porsche going through the puddle at the bus stop...that was rediculous

Mid engine cars spinning, front engine cars spinning, prototypes spinning, these conditions don't favor anyone at this point.

Caution is out. LMP2 leader #18 has crashed. Damaged nose.

Big accident for #18

Nooooo this doesn’t look good, going to be a while before this going green if at all. Fingers crossed this isn’t the end.

I'd red flag this...

Maybe they could just stop the clock?

This is really going to stress team budgets with repair costs.

Whoever sent the tweet to RLM saying "Rolex should replace the Daytonas they give to the winners with Submariners this year" was a genius.

Maybe they could just stop the clock?

They don't stop the clock in any endurance race so far as I'm aware (at least anything over 6 hours)

Red flag.

conditions worse, yellow lets the rain get built up more, Alonso's complaining, could we be nearing the ending red?

Edit: yep it's red now. odds of a restart probably low unless it lets up in a hurry. sucks but it might be for the best.

Agree Fred. We all want to see good racing but in these conditions?

The bus stop looks fairly dangerous with all that standing water.

Red flag is out, indeed.

Either its red flag until the end, or few safety car led laps to the checkered flag. :indiff:

Good start, terrible finish is the best way to describe this year's event, if I'm honest.

Red flag again, frustrating, but a wise call, monsoon conditions out there, can see everyone is struggling.

I wonder what Alonso said to the Safety Car driver. I bet he'd rather race and show how big his balls are

#11 under investigation for passing under yellow.
