How much racing has there actually been ? Ive just switched on

GTD seems like a race that nobody wants to win.

not sure I've seen a driver go talk to the pace car driver like that before

I wonder what Alonso said to the Safety Car driver. I bet he'd rather race and show how big his balls are

Extra ballast to keep the car grounded.

So, what do you guys think, when will Imsa throw in the towel?

Also, any possibility of the track owner upgrading the drainage system for future races?

13 hours, 29 minutes of green flag racing.
That's a damn shame .Has there ever been a race that was more yellow/red than green?

I honestly don't think they want to call it with still 2 hours left

Indeed. Hard to think with the action of the first four hours or so yesterday that it'd turn into something like this. I mean, rain was guaranteed...but eugh.

Congrats to Fernando Alonso for winning the 24(?) Hours of Daytona, then.

Look at all that standing water in the grass.

Snowstorm in Ontario and a Monsoon in Daytona Florida. I'd be good with neither please.

Ditto snow in Manitoba. Was the weather in Santiago for Formula E good at least?

I don't think I have ever seen Fernando like that. A large mix of fear and anger.

If Alonso was scared, it was probably pretty treacherous.

I guess we had to make up from last year's distance record 24 hours with chaos.

I think there might have only been four cautions for the whole race last year. But that was unreal for this race, it does normally have a lot of cautions.

Wasn't last year the first year without the prototype challenge class?

Yes but most of the remaining PC teams were still in the race, just in different cars. (not that there were very many left, it was basically like this P2 field by that point)

I don't see why they would try to get it at 2. They might as well just call it at that point because there more than likely will be calamity if they do restart. I'm not sure how much time of the 35 at most they'll get under green given the previous restarts in the rain.

Townsend Bell's hat has won the race.
