Porsche is in a weird spot with the Taycan. The Taycan is a big sedan with a skateboard chassis, like a lot of other BEVs out there. But it has to be a Porsche still...and what does that mean? It has to go fast. But EVs are already stupid fast. So what it really means is that it has to be faster than everything else, otherwise whats the point of buying the Porsche? It's not like you're getting the beautiful flat six soundtrack or perfect proportions, etc & Lucid offers a more compelling EV experience overall, IMO. Hopefully the EV Cayman/Boxster is good...or at least interesting, because the case for an EV Porsche is pretty unclear to me at this point and probably a big part of the reason Taycans have tanked in value on the used market.
