I know he's not a driver but it will be interesting to see where Adrian Newey goes.

Back with Aston on the Valkaryie/WEC project for gardening leave then F1 in 2026 or to Ferrari

Frankly, I'd be shocked if he didn't end up at Ferrari, if he leaves Red Bull. That's the one feather he absolutely wants in his cap.

Ferrari
Leclerc
Hamilton
Vasseur
Newey

Is that as close to a modern era F1 dream team as we will ever see?

Realistically the dream team in 2024 is:

Red Bull (Operationally they are perfect, great pitstops and strategies. Same can't be said for Ferrari)
Verstappen (Has he even made a proper driving mistake in the last few years?)
Hamilton (Legacy only, Alonso or Sainz on current form)
Horner (Who do you think got Red Bull working so well?)
Newey (Obvs)

Does Newey want to watch his cars do a 4-stop onto the wrong tyres each time while watching the Red Bull-Ford one-stop to win?

Audi have now posted about Hulkenberg being signed as the first Audi F1 factory driver in a post that would have been easy to miss.

I must have missed the announcement of the full takeover of the Sauber group as well, so is that hidden news there too?

It's also the first F1 related post by Audi themselves since August.

Sauber: Concept by Mercedes-Benz, Winner with BMW, Takeover from Audi.

Looking forward to that Opel partnership in 2037.

It's actually happening! After all these years of speculation and back and forth, Audi is finally going to enter F1!
