2025 NFL Season

It was a particularly bad game to watch and as someone who rarely gets to watch live games (Superbowl aside) i felt like my time was robbed. I doubt even a highlights reel would have shown it as an interesting game. Even the half time show was appalling.

I know both teams are supposedly good on defence, but both sides played like they were fighting to lose.
DAZN, who offer NFL game pass in the UK are advertising a "free game of the week." Don't know how it works as I pay for game pass but might be worth a look.

Miami is a bad team. Probably not the worst in the AFC (Jets, Titans and arguably Raiders) but a very bad team.
More like, Miami has a bad QB and linemen. The jets are objectively the worst team in the league and literally only have Garret Wilson. They lost to the Dolphins only because they beat themselves with penalties lol.

If you don't have a QB, you essentially have nothing. You had one until you broke him.

Hoping Dart doesn't break like Nabers

I’m not disagreeing with you, but just saying that the jets are so bad that they even lost to the hapless fins.

Dan Marino would look like a bust with that Dolphins O Line. Doubly so if he was drafted by this Jets team.
The bigger problem is that neither team having a Line really screws everything else up since even a top 5 QB would be the second coming of Zach Wilson. If I was drafting from either Miami or the Jets, I'd really look into drafting a lineman.

7 of the 9 sacks yesterday that Fields had were because he held the ball way too long.

There were plays to be made but Fields refused to make them

The Titans just fired head coach Brian Callahan, continuing the never ending cycle of "fire head coach keep GM, fire GM keep coach, fire coach keep GM".

They should have fired him before the season. How do you hire an"offensive guru" who never called the plays. Last year it Levis couldn't run his offense this year it's Cam Ward. 5 outs and deep routes with a sorry line is not smart

And "Offensive Guru" coach with a #1 overall rookie QB fired before the season ends. Feels like we've seen this movie before.

Hope the Titans figure it out soon.

Got my tickets in for the Rams Jaguars game at Wembley this weekend.

Just need to work out which of these to wear.

Probably Stafford. Puka has 12 now but that is last year's with 17 on it. Davante has 17 now.

I'm to the point if anyone is labeled as a "guru" or a "____ whisperer", I'm automatically writing them off as a bust or a hack. I don't know if it's a media thing or what, but if you got nit-picky with it I can't imagine the success rate is better than 5 to 1, probably closer to 10 to 1.

Callahan only got the job because of who his dad is, and because the owner of the Titans is pretty well known for being rather clueless. I don't think much is gonna change over there until the team itself changes hands.

They play my Steelers in a couple of weeks. Time for Watt and Herbig to tee off :P
Although knowing our D he'll probably put up 500 yards.
I was too pessimistic. Only 342 and 3 touchdowns :banghead:

It was indeed a trap game

Unc Bowl ended up being good to watch last night. However, what the hell was the false start call on the tush push? I guess the Eagles are allowed to false start but no other team is.

After the Lions v. Chiefs game, every time something like that happens, it just ruins the credibility of the league even more. Pretty soon the NFL will just be the WWE.

I've been to that point of view for a while now with sports in general. Might be because I'm severely jaded or something else I'm not aware of, but I've struggled to enjoy a football game since 2010-2012ish just because of how stupid things would happen and instead of being punished they were rewarded, how inconsistent the officiating is, and how little the game itself seems to matter. Repeat with tweaks for the other sports, including racing now, and I just pay attention to news and try to stay updated while disengaged.

I propose that the tush push can only be one once per possession. Doing it 4x in a row was HOT GARBAGE. Will my idea ever catch fire? Nope. Should it? Yep.

Enjoy the game 👍

It's on 5HD live this afternoon, so I will hopefully be able to watch some of that. Raiders @ Chiefs game is on immediately afterwards too, so that's 7 straight hours of free NFL in HD this afternoon for viewers in the UK!

That went well.

I've seen the Rams twice. 33-0 win against the Cardinals in 2017, and today's 35-7 against the Jags. I must be their good luck charm.

And with all the QB changes the NFL sees, how does Trevor Lawrence get a bye?

This just in from Metlife Stadium: Justin Fields still doesn't know how to throw a football.

In other news, the sun rose in the east and water continues to flow downhill.

That's not news. That's normal.

At least their offensive coordinator seems to have finally figured that out, as their most recent drive had eight plays and zero attempts at passing.*

*Actually it's because Fields got rattled on the first play and sat out that drive. For some reason the radio broadcast failed to actually mention that until he came back in, which I think shows just how much anyone cares about the Jets' season now.

Ugly win but Panthers with a winning record in the first time in forever. I'll take it. 😅

And fingers crossed Bryce Young's ankle injury isn't too bad.

After watching Fields play today he needs to stay on the bench. Also I fail understand why Hall rarely touched the ball in the 2nd half. At least the defense is playing better. Not sure when my Jets will win TBH. Or well it is what it is on to next week
