After hearing Glickenhaus and Toto Wolff ask for a cost cap instead of BOP, I kind of wish they didn't extend current hypercar regs until 2032, and instead let them expire in 2029

A basic, $40-$50m cost cap would be better then BOP, because at least with a cost cap you know if you're slow then you're really slow, and if you're fast you're really fast. They've had 3 tries and they still haven't gotten BOP right, and a cost cap is more in line with the spirit of Le Mans

Yeah, it makes sense. Let say you spend $10m each year for more than 10 years under the same rules thinking you can win but it never happens, you end up spending more but for nothing.

And about Glickenhaus :

Good to also see Glickenhaus on board as I thought they faded into the shadows. If all these manufacturers can get legit teams to be apart of them and the rules of ALMS is less strict than WEC, this is already looking promising and we can finally have a "sub" hypercar class that was needed for WEC.

Well Toyota wont dominate like last year up +9 kg and -21 kw. Pugs and Caddy FTW I think.
Caddy for some reason just can't get it done and this is coming from a Cadillac fan. While I love their pace every other race, between crappy pit strategies, crashes and just not being able to hang with Ferrari no matter the BOP, I just don't see a 1st place for them this season.

The Cadillac has a naturally aspirated engine and the track is located at an altitude of 800m. It won't help as much as you think.
I forgot about the altitude. So last year they were among the slowest in the speed trap and have less power this year. :odd:

Pugs and Penske's then. Maybe... Who knows

Team managers must have nerves of steel to be able to keep quiet about the BoP. lol
I don't know anymore...
Some teams/manufacturers complain about the bop but at the same they didn't have a lmp1 or group c car back in the days when they had "more freedom"

Their new TV graphics are already annoying me, they keep switching switching and switching sheets again for no reason. Replays every 2 minutes do not help to understand the race either, TV production is epileptic.

Be ready for the 1100kg / 30 horsepower Porsche next race.
I'm done with it, the gaslighting from Haven and company and the rewards for mediocrity. Any OEM that build their own car at this point is crazy, just have Oreca build a tub and make it good enough and the politics ($$$) take care of the rest.
