There are changes regarding the stud of the rear wing at its base. The rear of the tire is now hidden.
 
That's some great news regarding the AXR Cadillac, the more of them on the grid the better. And good to see Aston finally getting their evo package on, they have the speed hopefully that addresses their handling and grip deficiency.

The big limiting factor for AXR will be who they (or Cadillac/GM at large) can get to drive the car. Jack Aitken is "their" driver, but I'm sure he'll be in one of the JOTA Cadillacs if JOTA end up retaining the same roster for 2027. Since Porsche isn't in WEC and probably won't be anytime soon, maybe AXR can get one of Porsche's IMSA drivers to race for them. If it was up to me, I'd do everything in my power to see if I can nab Laurin Heinrich for the event, even though he's pretty deeply tied to being a factory Porsche driver. Connor Zillisch would be a good option, too, depending on how the NASCAR Cup Schedule shapes up for next year.

Regarding the Valkyrie, I just hope that the upgrades make the car much less track-dependent than it currently is. The Valkyrie is plenty reliable, but it struggles for overall pace on more bumpy and uneven tracks, so hopefully the aero upgrades are coupled with some suspension upgrades or other changes that make it much more consistent.

FP1 had Ferrari for Hypercars in the front and McLaren for LMGT3.
FP2 will start in about an hour.

As for Sébastien Bourdais, Cadillac did not renew his contract; he is without a drive for next year.

FP2 : Aston Martin takes the top spot in both categories.
 
Although I would really love if Cadillac can finally bring home a win on home soil, I wouldn't mind seeing Aston run strong in this race and possibly get a podium. Holding off Toyota, Ferrari and Bmw is the goal for everybody though.
 
It was a good qualifying session. Still, I was a bit surprised to see them slightly slower than in FP3.
The top two are separated by 0 seconds, 0 tenths, 0 hundredths, and 0 thousandths. :D
 
Is this going to be televised ? I looked on Peacock and its not going to be on there
 
The stream is up and there is rain about.
 
I hate how there's no tv app for this. Watching it on the fire tv web browser is a pain in the ass, I will not renew my sub if it stays like this.
 
Short fuelling has become a new trend. It's significantly harder for us to read the race, but...

The BMWs are invisible in this race, I wonder what they did to them. What a shame.

Ferrari win the 45 minutes Race after two qualifying races. It's the first time Ferrari have won a race not called Le Mans. Shame about the leading Toyota.
 
It was a good race, if you set aside the FCYs and Safety Cars, which were rarely justified.
