I guess one of the nice things about running the same platform with minimal changes for ~10 years is that it gives the engineers plenty of time to make sure their car is at least bulletproof.

Yes, the only thing that worries me is that thick smoke coming out of the brakes during pit stops.

I know this team well, they have their headquarters a few kilometers away from my home and we can regularly admire the cars (458 GT3, AMG GT3, and now the RC-F) displayed in the parking lot when they come out of the trucks.

Halfway mark!! Toyota having a really solid strategy so far. Really sad seeing #15 tumble down the order, was looking forward to a couple of heroics from Magnussen.

I went back and looked at the yellow flag issue for the 8 car and didnt see anything wrong with the procedure.

The marshalls apparently put the #8s drive-through on hold for the time being.

Edit: Penalty confirmed.

So now we've got #83 Ferrari sneakily trying to make its way through the top spots, interesting.

With the penalties for the #8 and #101, and the #38 being as good as out of the race, it's looking like the #83 Ferrari, #20 BMW and #12 Cadillac are the most realistic contenders for the win.
