I'm about to get a 20gb Ipod Touch for free and I was wondering if it has a micro SD card slot for my 8gb card I want to use. I'm going to need it.

SD card into your computer, then transfer whatever to your iPod via the computer?

I don't think you should be caring about that if you're getting it for free.

I won't have enough space for my music let alone anything else I want to download. That's why I need that card. My old MP3 player just busted.

Transfer it to your computer, then transfer it from that to the iPod. 👍

It's already been transfered to the computer. I have 22gb of songs, from internal alone. External I have another 4gb. Its a 20gb Ipod I'm getting, or so I've been told. I needed the card to be able to be used. The Ipod won't have enough space without it. And no I'm not deleting songs.

Then you have no solution with just that ipod. That's it unless you would like to buy a cheap mp3 player and carry a second mp3 player with you.

I went cheap with SanDisk before end ended up sending my Fuze in 5 times in 2 years. I don't want to go cheap anymore. I mean it is free and even if I can't play music on it I'll probably just get games and listen to the radio.

There has never been a 20GB iPod Touch, you may be on about the 20GB original iPod..

Then it's the closest thing to 20gb (as in first thing past 20, 24gb maybe?). It's a touch for sure though, I've seen it. It's only about a year old and never been used.

The memory size history for the iPod Touch has been/is 8GB, 16GB (discontinued), 32GB and 64GB.

If it's a year old then it's a 4th gen, and will be 8 or 32gb.

It might be a late 3rd Gen though... which has no 8GB version. So it most likely is 32GB in that case.

It's definitely not an 8gb. I asked. It's over 20.

I'm hoping but from what I've been told it's a 20. Now I could be getting false information so I'm not real sure.

I'm not buying it. It's being given to me by a friend. I'm a decent distance away from it right now so I can't get picture.

Oh ok... I've never seen or heard of a 20GB iPod Touch though and no iPod has an Micro SD card slot.

Dang that sucks. I was really hoping I'd have enough space. Eh we will see what happens I guess.

i have never heard of a 20gb ipod before. I thought there were only 4gb, 8gb, 16gb, 32gb, 64gb, 120gb, 160gb. ipods lol

And if so then the OP will be getting a really old ipod and plus the battery is likely to only last 5 minutes[/sarcasm].

Well its defenitely not old lol if it's only from last year. Maybe its a 32. I won't know until I get it tomorrow.

You will probably only get 28GB of the 32GB because of the OS..

Or more because of how memory is counted by manufactures versus computers...

There is no 20gb iPod touch, it is always powers of two for sizing on those devices - 8, 16, 32, 64gb.

I still find this thread kind of pointless because everything in it could have been answered in about 5 minutes of Google'ing.
