Does anyone else get the impression that Martha is going to overdose on pills and/or alcohol, especially since Charles says to just give her as many pills as she wants? I'm guessing that's not going to end well.

Yep, I can see Martha topping herself, but maybe not before spilling the beans to Mike or someone else.

His call the Mike was an attempt to start pulling the strings for him to take over, trying to say what's her face isn't capable of running the show, he's next in charge. So if Mike had her relieved from command, Miles would then be incharge.

I think you missed what I was trying to say. I wasn't trying to say that I thought he would now like to take over CTU; but instead, my impressions of him before this particular incident that something like this might happen because of how his personality comes off.

Martha is definitely in trouble.

That was pretty awesome when Bill called Miles a little ass kisser. Miles is such a douche, someone needs to punch him in the face.

Why don't Jack just play the recording over the phone for CTU to hear? At least then they would have something. And I'm starting to worry about Aaron.

So I did 👍.

I agree about the Bill comment. He is a douche and he has a big surprise coming if he does indeed get to heard the recording Jack has.

Ugh!!!! Miles is a little *****! Jack needs to kick that guy's ass. He has three hours to do it :)

What the heck is Miles' problem? Seriously? Was he not hugged enough as a kid or something?

No, he is just a giant douche bag.

Seriously though, what the ****? Why go through all the trouble of getting the recording if you're going to leave it ALONE with only one other person? If I were Jack, I would not have let that thing out of my sight until everything was taken care of.

Curtis is a badass.

I've been wondering why the hell the recording hasn't been duplicated yet. GThere's goes the recording anyway, whatever Mile's held next to it has probably corrupted the drive with the recording next to it.

I didn't understand why there was not more people around Chloe, or at least Jack, with the recording. It just seems to me that this mistake is a huge oversight on Jack's part.

This latest twist is a cheap way to extend the plot another 3 hours imo, the last episode should have ended with Logan drinking and the gun in his hand, shooting himself. The next episode should have started with Henderson getting interrogated and themfinding something out about that consortium of high up's that Logan was working with, and Henderson managing to somehow create a situation within CTU where he can hold someone hostage, and attempt to prevent the recording being played. Then you go into the enxt episode. The fact that the recording hasn't been duplicated, that Miles would just ring Logan and say hell your a traitor to the country, let me bend over for you, and that Chloe would be so easilly accessible doesn't fit. It's the first time this series where I don't like what they've done because it seem's sloppy as opposed to not liking a character getting killed off etc.

I agree fully. I mean, of course we knew that the show couldn't end right there, but I hate it when they just randomly turn an insignificant person into the plot. Miles was an annoyance, but he should have just stayed that way. A Logan suicide would have made for a much better final 3 hours. And why, all of the sudden, is Bierko back? What can he possibly still have to do with anything at this point. Wasn't he just a puppet?

Logan is too much of a [wimp] to have pulled the trigger. Bierko obviously escapes....to come back next season maybe?

Bierko was supposed to just be a puppet, but it is starting to look like he may have more to do with the entire scenario than originally thought.

I also think this latest twist is pretty weak. Maybe there will be more involved than what we thought.

You might be right. I can't see how he could affect the next three hours in any meaningful way. Revenge next season? It's a dish best served cold :)

You needed a - J W Creasey next to that comment .

The plot is now a bit convoluted. At least they can only drag it out for 2 more hours. Hopefully Jack beats the crap out of Henderson, Logan, Bierko, and Miles (all at the same time, if possible.)

All at the same time would be good. 👍

I enjoyed the last episode, I still don't like the Miles twist from last week, it just doesn't seem like even someone like him would think that fast to risk himself to try and help to president under thoes circumstances to help his career, maybe he would have, it just seemed a bit far fetched to me. The rest of the last episode was good though imo, the season will end with Jack leting Henderson go, he's given his word and Henderson will want to dissapear rather than turn on Jack. Martha and Aaron will be key to bringing down Logan.

I'd love to see Aaron, Bill, and Curtis get in on this action also.

Anyway, lots of great moments this week, let’s see:

  • Jack punching out a CTU guard (I love when he does this).
  • Jack choking Miles (while EVERYONE just watches and does NOTHING).
  • Martha bustin’ a cap in that agent’s ass.
But my absolute favorite moment this week (possibly this season) was when Aaron called Logan by his first name and just basically told him to go **** himself. The look on Logan’s face was priceless.

Also, Henderson is such an awesome character, too bad he’s insane. I would love to see him come back next season.

Yeah that scene was great, he basically gave Logan one big middle finger when he said that.

I wished he would have pulled the trigger but then Miles had to call.

Why do TV shows have to do this to me? :odd: The other two shows I watch did the exact same thing with the huge plot hole. :banghead: And now I have to wait until January to find out what happens with 24. Ahhhhhhhhhhh! At least with the other two shows, I get to find out some of what happens in June/July, when new episodes start airing. 👍

Now onto the episodes. They were both very good ones. Martha was absolutely awesome! 👍 She was absolutely great. I was laughing the whole time she was playing Logan. The face she gave Logan after he was taken by the secret service, PRICELESS. Mike's face was also priceless. Great stuff right there.

Jack kicked some major arse in the first hour. He totally dominated Bierko and his men. I almost felt some pity for Henderson, as he was a great character/villian; but yet, being a bad guy, I just couldn't quite feel any. I did expect him to go in a more dramatic way though, instead of just a couple bullets.

Good one on the Petty Officer on the submarine. He did what he had to do and managed to not be killed. I seriously thought he was going to be a casualty when Jack told him to lead.

And now onto Edgar . . . it is such a sad thing that he had to die. I had all but forgotten about him until tonight. Then Bill giving Chloe the picture. Very sad stuff . . . Edgar was just a great guy.

At least Jack will get some sleep on the ship ride to China :sly:

Yeah, seriously.

I was beginning to wonder when the Chinese would show up. Though I seriously doubt it, I hope the show continues right where it left off this season. I'd love to see how Jack gets out of this one. But it'll probably take place a few months after the events of Day 5 with Jack back in the US or something (the show always does this).

Overall: Awesome season, I can’t wait for Day6!

By the way, did anyone else get totally pumped when Jack said, "Right here! Right now! You are going to face justice!!!"?? 👍

It's been fun talking to you guys about the show, I'll be sure to make another thread for Day 6. :)

And they still haven't caught the guys that were behind all this stuff. Maybe we'll see some more action on that in Season 6 as well.

Regards
the Interceptor

I forgot to comment on this the other week, great ending to the show, I think Henderson should have jsut dissapeared though, that would have allowed him to pop up again in a futuire series. He was a great bad guy, a well ahead of Jack all the time, except for that gun. And Jack getting grabbed by the Chinese right at the very end was just a brilliant way to make me care about the next series all over again.

Henderson being killed at the end was kinda a bad ending for him. Robocop was a great villian and would have been a great person to reappear in future episodes.

I hope they don't skip any of the Chinese stuff and just put Jack back in the US. That would be teh major suck! There are just too many Chinese for Jack to kill for that entire thing to be skipped.

Yeah for them to do a Jack got rescued between the seasons thing would suck, the eniter next season should start with Secretary Heller being given some intel saying that Jack Bauer is in a high security chinese prison camp or similar, how they find out would have to be coincidental, they'd have to be looking for something else, they won't just randomly search for Jack, especially not on Chinese soil so there would have to be something else going on with the chinese maybe Chinese terrorists and the people in China dealing with them stumble upon information regarding Bauer. Heller informs the vice president who we'll assume holds Jack in high regard after what he did in season 5 and starts looking into ways of rescuing Jack without the US "being involved" cue the return of Mandy, why I don't know but Mia Kershner is damn fit so she'll have Chinese contacts or something, cue many dead people and explosions and by then you should be at least 4 episodes in. Ofcourse Jack would have to spend a few episodes on the run by himself, having it done in China would seem different to LA all the time.
