24h taking a long time

In the manual of GT4, it says under the B-SPEC section that "Players have the option to speed up the race up to x5 times", is there something wrong with the game or the manual cause mine can only go up to 3x. Thx.

i wish you could keep it at 3x without having to reset it back to 3x after pit stops.
