Sorry for the long delay. The video highlights of the first hour of the online 24 hours was ready late March but I was unable to upload it until now because I lost my internent connection.

In these videos I am driving for the WR Racing Team. We entered 2 cars, WR 17 and WR 18. I am driving the #17 WR Racing car in these videos.

In case your wondering, damage is on. Only problem is the developers of the GTP mod didnt make it very visible. Cars with headlights that look black have received damage. You will notice them in the video. Taking a small hit, around 25-30mph head on will slow your top speed down by around 2-4 mph. A big hit, 70mph+ will slow your top speed down by around 10mph and may over heat your engine. There is also a good chance it will just blow later on due to the damage you took. The cars also lose gears.

Hey y'all,

I don't want to be anyone patsy, however there is a GTP/Group C series (based on GT4 of course) starting up in the Long Race Series forum. Right now I'm... well, I guess on the entries list but I don't have a car or team. The three cars I'm interested in running are R89C, Sauber C9, and Jaguar XJR-9. If any of my fellow Le Mans nuts are interested head over there, perhaps we could team up as Team 24 Hours of Le Mans Club or something.

when will the next 24 hour(or any other endurace race)using nr2003?

Anyway, the series that ran this event last year (WOSEC) fell apart due to the organizer's health.

Another series http://www.sscarace.com/ , was going to run it this year (the race was planned for this weekend) using NR2003 but switched to rfactor just before the race.

If you find anything let me know

Can I join the club ? I have this chance to live in a village witch is only 40 minutes distan to the circuit of LeMans. I make my pilgrimage each year to this race. I'm a lucky person !
 
You are lucky indeed!

I wish I lived that close to Le Mans...imo there is no course or race like it in the world. 24 hours of racing the most advanced sports cars in the world on a true road course that is as unique as Le Mans

And for those wondering what happened in that online 24 hour race I particpated in:

I crashed.

My worst fear was realized. I was only pushing 85-90% to try and avoid anything happening in such a long race

After 2 hours my first stint was done. I was on my last lap before coming into the pits. I finisht he 2nd chicane on the mulsanne and get on the radio to my teammates.

"I'm coming in, be prepared"

But the other car is on the radio as well. I press the "shift" key again and again to talk and...the screen on the monitor minimizes. Something about pressing shift brings up a popup.

When I resize the screen the car is at the end of Mulsanne corner, black smoke billows out of the engine.

When the screen minimized the car ran off Mulsanne corner and into the barriers at 200mph

My teammates are frantic on the radio "What happened?! how is the car!?"

I give them the bad news. "We're finished."

After 2 hours I had worked myself up to 8th place but on the last lap of my stint the car crashes because my monitor goes to desktop...

Dejected, I become a driver for the last remaining WRRacing car, the #18

The next opportunity for me to drive is in 6 hours. I have 6 hours to think about what if.

6 hours later it's my turn in the #18

We have made our way up to 12th place so far

We are now 10 hours into the race.

At 10 hours into a 24 hour race you would expect everyone to be calm and just crusing.

Boy how was I wrong.

There were people out there driving like madmen.

One of the Chilean racing cars, which was around 25th and two dozen laps down, got right on my tail and started pressuring me like crazy. I eventually let him by so he wouldn't take me out. He pulled out a 3 second gap on me. He eventually caught someone and spun out trying to pass him and fell 10+ seconds behind me

I saw alot of things happen driving from the 10th to 12th hour. Cars in the top 5 wrecked, lost gears, everything.

I completed a 2 hour stint and handed the car over in 9th place.

6 hours later it was my turn again.

It was 1 am in the mourning and I am waiting to take over, i had to use an alarm clock to wake up and be ready on time. My teammate is on his last lap before the pits. We are in 5th place! Forget just finishing a podium is in sight! Then this:




The car hits an invisible part of the track, and it flips us 100 feet in the air backwards and wrecks the car.

So that's what happened. 1 car crashed out due to the screen minimizing at 200mph and the other crashed out due to a bug in the track.

Dissappointing, but I hope to try a 24 hour race again, hopefully with GT5 online

Count me in this is the best race on earth.
If i'm possible i go every year. (done that for 10 times).

I've known about this club for a while, I just haven't come around to joining it until now.:O

I still have the videos, I will reupload them soon.

After WOSEC ran the 24 hour race in 2006 there were many problems like cars receiving black flags during the race by the computer and pitting wouldn't fix it and there was no admin there to clear the black flag. They were in the sim watching the race but they were sleeping or something and couldn't be contacted.

The race organizer was so disgusted he shut down WOSEC not just because of that but also because of his health.

As for this year I don't think anyone, at least a professional site like WOSEC, is running it. Everyone has moved on to rFactor and there isn't a proper modern Le Mans track out there for rFactor so not this year but most likely next June.

Guess that (the track) is something to be worked on for the next year or so, huh? Makes me wonder if there's anyone at rFactor Central at work on it right now.
 
Yeah the Prenos feed is magnificent, if only it was possible to have it in english so I wouldn't need RLM.

Just delete the {/SIZE] off the end, and it'll be completely fixed. ;)
