It is not complicated to set it up:

1) all races give points to main championship (lets call it "world championship" for example - WC...lol)

2) If we have 12 races overal we could have for example 3 in Europe tracks, 3 in American tracks and 3 in Asian tracks and three other from GT original tracks - Points in Europe tracks count for WC and Europe Cup; in american tracks for WC and Americas Cup and in Asian tracks for WC and Asia&Oceania (in my dreams...lol) cup.

So after racing the three european tracks you would have an european champion - which could give an extra point for WC too... or not - and the fight for WC would go on anyway.

We just have to keep a General Points table for the WC and three other tables for the regional cups.

:)

Got it:tup:

Brilliant!! :)👍
Very nice explanation actually. I have a feeling that this will make the overall season of racing for the championship better, well that and the fact that we will be in similar cars. How many races would we be looking at with this format?

one oval with be nice too, just because it is different. Anyway till the 2nd World War it was quite common in Europe too, even Monza still have an Oval in it... not in the game but...

In the Game we have three, 2 in USA - Daytona and Indy - and 1 in Japan - Motegi and they are quite different from each other. I think with this cars it would give quite a strategic battle for the win.

I think 9 to 16 would be ideal... 9 maybe too short and 16 maybe too long... any are you thinking about it Coxbox? It would be nice to keep a few speed races, some normal and one or two endurance like you told before.

I agree.

I don't know that I would want to do Daytona with these cars, but Indy and Motegi, most definitely.

sorry... not "any" but "what".... what are you thinking about it Coxbox? Do you want to make an example calendar table? I can make on and post it in pdf and than you could play around with it too... just tell me how many races you would like.

I think about ten races would be good 3 races in the USA Europe and asia, then an endurance.

In each continent the three races would count towards the main and sub championships, with different races sprint and normal.

sure just post it on here not in pdf though just in a normal message.

What if we ran a couple sprint races, then an endurance to finish off each of the sub championships.

A Calendar Example: All count for "World Championship"

1. London - Speed - Europa cup
2. Daytona Road Course - Race - America cup
3. Fuji - Race - Asia cup
4. Laguna Seca - Race - America cup
5. Tsukuba - Speed - Asia cup
6. Monaco - Race - Europa cup
7. Suzuka - Race - Asia cup
8. Spa Francorchamps - Race - Europa cup
9. Indianapolis Oval - Race - america cup
10. Nurburgring Norschleife - Endurance

ok just an example... 2 speed, 6 circuit, 1 oval and 1 endurance... maybe you want to add a speed... well it gives an idea of what we looking for

I like this, now we just need to sort out the laps.

The normal length races could have the same kind of laps as in the k-car series... but we would have to sped up one step the tire/fuel depletion.

The speed races maybe two short races: one of 5 laps and the other of 2 or 3...? first race with qualification, second starting with last result places

The endurance... depends how long we want it to be... but put a day/night cycle into it so we "simulate" a 24H race. The length... maybe 150km to 300km... it really depends how long we want it to last: about 1h30m or 2 hours... more?....

I think 5 laps sounds good for the speed races, but does it need to only be 2 or can it be 3 or more, also will the points be awarded for speed races based on average finish for all the races or just like normal points. For the normal races I think around 45 to 50 minutes should be a good length and for the endurance I think 1.5 hours is plenty.

Indianapolis could be a bit longer too... it is a very fast track and with this cars they go in top speed all the way

Ok well the previous championship was 50 miles in length or 80km, I can work out the laps. for the speed/sprint races ect, I would only have one race and do say 12 miles or 20km 1/4 of the normal races. The endurance races could be double the normal races so 160km or 100 miles.

The second starting with last result places
We could always invert the field from the previous race results. :trouble:

agree:tup:

about speed races don't know... it was just a start idea. The points in speed races can be splited between the first and second race, and if one is bigger than the other we try to split the points accordingly...?

About the cars a crazy idea:

since we have 10 races and two cars we could use at will 5 times the 2CV and 5 times the 500F which could give some strategy to the overall thing... so each one of us choose for each race what car wants to use, having a top of 5 times for each car...

Toeven the cars, after some testing I think that if we set a common max pp and HP, and let weight free, the 2CV is able to cope with the 500F... almost. And maybe put in another car to join the party?... well just a thought because we can't run a double championship at same time

why not agree to race 5 races with one car and 5 with another, or every other race use the 2cv.

Race 1 500f
Race 2 2cv
Race 3 500f
Race 4 2cv

A third good car would be the Volkswagen Beetle 1100 (Type-11)... more power but overweighted so with the previous pp and HP sugestion it would be aproximatly at the same level than the others... usage 3-3-3 plus one of any...

well, throwing things...💡

yes, each race can have a car by definition or it can be free choice where each car has to be used the same number of times... up to you coxbox:tup:

if each race has a mandatory car than no need to balance cars, if it is free choice with a fixed number of times for each car we have to even them...

for me any of the choices can work. If you prefer the first option we should alternate the cars... no need to switch for each race but 5-5 is a bit less interesting than 2-1-1-2-1-2-1... for example

i like 2-1-2-1-2-1-2-1 because there will be less problems with weight and bhp.

:tup:yes it is probably better 2-1-1-2-1-2-1

2-2CV 1-500F 1-2CV 2-500F 1-2CV 2-500F 1-2CV

Total 5 2CV & 5 500F

I gotta be honest I'm really up for sticking with 500, I absolutely love it, I've been using the 2cv and I can't get on with it for some reason. See can we not stick with the same car if we want, as everyone could have a choice between 3 cars.

Also I love the classic merc SL, that's also great fun to drive. Stock of course to keep pp right down.

Plus in the series if u had it so that everyone has two choices of tyre and you must use both in a race. Could make tactics really interesting.

That is the fun of tuning it,just spend some time with it, i made mine softer, also I don't want any more cars, we shall run with what has already been suggested, otherwise things just become more complicated.
