2J car?

I only bought the 2J originally to beat that event in A and B-Spec. The car's other uses are well known on this site, but I have not really been bothered about using it in that way.

Its also another high priced car to spend the winnings from the Ferrari F1 seasonal. Shame it can't be used in the 24hr enduros.........unless you keep the driving line on:dunce:
 
Did a few more B-Spec races. Over 220,000 miles now and its dropped to 215 PP.

Wow!..that's a hell of a drop from 516 to 215 in the space of 100,000 miles, that's not bad at 1pp drop for every 333miles. Good goin' fella.

Yeah, thought it may have been a bit of a typeo.....I was about to put you on that pedestal above all pedestals lol, well done for getting in 100,000miles in just a few days, still pretty impressive fella.

Yes, it will go lower. Mine has over 120,000 miles on it and its down to 516 PP. It seems to drop 1 PP for every 20,000 miles. I really don't think there is a limit as to how far it will drop but thats what I've been testing.

Not really sure how to take your comment. Its not taking away any game play time from me as I do it overnight or when I play Forza. Its not cutting into my play time at all. And yes, I hardly ever shut my PS3 off. You do more damage to your PS3 turning it on and off as opposed to just leaving it on. If you have a proper way of keeping your machine cool, which I do, its only going to reach a certain operating temperature and stay there. When you turn it on and off, thats where the damage happens due to the temperature changes. I also take my machine apart once a month to clean the lenses and blow the dust out. It is the slim model which I have had for about 3 years with heavy use since GT5 came out. I have had no problems with it whatsoever. Just thought I'd put that out there before I start getting posts telling me how I'm going to burn up my machine by leaving it on. Simply not true. Same goes with any computer. As long as you have a way of keeping them cool and do regular maintenence, it is better to leave them on.

Hi folks,
I have been playing this game since Nov '10. I have 1100 cars and have yet to see or get the 2J !!
My son who also plays just laughs because it has been offered to him several times!!
Everytime I have a win I check used garage,,but nothing.....any suggestions?

Still not understanding your comments but whatever. If your saying I'm off topic, well your right but my posts came from when someone asked about mileage on the 2J. I was just responding. Should have known you'd have something to say about it.:sly:

I'd say that there are variations on the UCD list, same as you. One guy on here says he has 9 2Js, that they come up frequently, etc. I'm the same as you. I have one and only one has ever come up. I check the UCD after every few races, the ones at the bottom are not 'justin' so I know I'm not missing it. Additionally, I've checked when the next one is due, turns out it's 1100 days. Given that some people have multiples of it, and the next one for me is 1100 days away, I can't see how the lists are the same for each player. I'm not frantic to get another, just pointing out the variation.

Edit: Just checked again and it's 1403 days. Maybe my 1100 was wrong since it wasn't that long ago that I checked. (TTs don't change the UCD list, only races and license tests. Most of you know that, just pointing it out for the new peeps.)
What would help here is if one of the folks who has lots would do the search thing after one comes up to see how many days till the next one. I've been online every day since May, to keep the 200%, and I haven't seen one twice. It would be nice to prove that the master list has variations. Tell you what, I get every frickin' Miata that's ever been made or ever been thought of!

Are you guys on a different Master List or something? I forget what day I'm on but the 2J is going to show up at least another 9 times in my UCD. And it has already appeared 3 times since I started. I've got two of them in my garage.

There is 2 master lists, not 1. For each there are certain cars which are rarer than others and don't appear as often. Duck has done research on the subject - https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=217964 - there is also a website http://gt5cars.net/ where you can search the UCD, this will also tell you what Master List you are on, like I said there are 2.

Thanks! I'll check that out. This game is the most researched, analysed and cross-examined than anything else I can think of. That's why we love it, I guess.

I cannot seem to catch the 2J in the used car list myself. I cycle it several times a day. Starting to feel a bit obsessed.

Read my post - you'll be able to find out when it'll arrive in your UCD so you know when you'll need the 15 million for it.
 
Yeah I will try to figure that out in a bit. I keep 18+ million on hand for when I do find it.

I was trying to get the 2J for some time, broke down about a week ago and set up a second account and duped a 1970 ticket. Over 30 resets and I still didn't get a single 2J. I assumed they took out off the 1970 ticket, apparently not since rainman managed to get one recently, unless he got it a while back. I'll try again tonight and hope I can finally get one.

Got the 2j on the third try the next time I tried doing the 1970 ticket reset trick. So I can confirm what everyone already knows, the easiest way to obtain a 2j is through a 1970 gift ticket.
