Sup guys
I have been drifting and racing on gran t for a long time now with my brother, we got 6 or 7 vids also, just can't get'em on here,,, well,,, can just don't know how to do the ftp thingy. :dunce: well anyways here's my prob we can't get a "team drift" cause on 2 player its like driving on buttered ice with a layer of silk and 2 old men spraying wd-40 on the road saying "hope ya like tha ride" plus did I mention it was slick? I tried tire changes no luck. has anyone else had or seen this happen...what to do?

Thanks Guys

try drift depot to get better settings for you car

and try searching.
if you want to get your vids up here, try PMing some who is more experienced to upload your vid for you. or you can get a free ftp server somewhere, try searching that on google.

The physics in the two player mode is different to the physics in single player mode. I think it was to lower the processing time on the ps2... You can merely try to adapt to the different system.

2 player mode is crappy. if you drift the same way you do in free run or any other place, then you will spin out, but it's not supposed to be like buttered ice. for me it just feels as though the spin out point is different. so drift with less angle. it takes a lot of practice and focus to drift 2 players. it takes a while getting use to 2 player mode. when i first started 2 player, my brother and i would just drift the same course just to get use to it. then we started drifting near each other and eventually we got closer and closer. it took us about a month or two. good luck.

Exactly.. me and my couson did the same.. first drifted the course to get use to the views and physics of 2 player mode... and only afterwards we concentrated on drifting close to each other...

no not buttered ice just a joke. but you did nail it monk, just after i posted i started todays runs in 2player mode but alone and i guess instinct finley made it around to me and i started to catch on....... still f-ing hard! but i'll show my bro but now i know he'll be turned off on "team drifting" 🤬

There is another similarly noted glitch in the F1 series. Apparently, when you qualify it registers the settings as stock (with the exception of ASM and TCS). No matter what you set the car up as, it'll turn the same.

DJ Rex, might I suggest that you search for "twin drift collection" as it's an excellent showcase of twin drifting.

I wish I could 2 player drift. One of my mates has GT3 but he doesnt play it much because he has Vice City. The other isnt to bad at drifting but cant keep up without spinning and my brother is a great big jerk that likes to pay me out because I like drifting (just bein an idiot). I didnt notice any difference in 2 player mode but thats probably me. Good luck anyway.

It might be better (view wise and possibly control due to processing power) If you i-link 2 PS2's/TV's. Didn't Silvia Drifter do a twin drift with his cousin some time ago? That was a very impressive video if I remember correctley.

Drifting via I-Link is really not possible. You can only use arcade cars, and u can't change the settings on the cars. I mean if you have a high powered car like the supra you can but its still not as nice as if you were drifting in single player.

I think... 2 Player drifting is the same as Single Player but with a half screen... Its all about how well you control you car...I mean i am not a pro or anything but.. it doesn't seem that different to me..

The physics are actually different in 2 player mode. And makes it different and more diffictult to drift. Hopefully they were able to adjust that for GT4.

thats true, i hope they put the same physics

Seems normal here, its probably just because its harder to see because the screen is so much smaller...

Nope, it's definetly different physics in two playere split screen mode. Almost like GT2.
