Damn close!! Must be something about those Pit Out laps! Mine were only 22/1000 of a second difference.

I was going to say that it had something to do with starting from a complete stand still, but my first laps are very different. Maybe starting from a stand still without any traffic ...

..perhaps? It was just down to luck IMO. It's near on impossible to do two identical laps!

That's true. I've had several free runs where several consecutive laps were within a tenth of a second of eachother. That really drives me nuts because I know I can go faster, but my time keeps bouncing around within the same half of a second. Soooo frustrating ...

~LoudMusic

ACK! I just realized something. I think I have ASM and TCS turned on. I thought the car felt sluggish. I'll have to make new times before I head back to class ....

As for those other two races, I don't think there is any way you guys could talk me into that.

~LoudMusic

HA HA Hh ha ah ah ahaah hhaa ... hmmmm..... ok, I'm not telling what my race time was, but I did improve my lap time by half a second. It's going to take me all day to get used to not spinning out. The car is like a rocket now! Heh, "pocket rocket" (:

Seriously if I didnt have to pit twice my time would be over 20 seconds faster for each run. I hate it, pitting twice in 10 laps
I mean there is no way I can pull 5 laps on a set of tires, I wish I could then I'd be faster but I am perfectly fine with my times.

You are lucky Lav, you only have to pit once! Great time BTW. Your laps are very consistant, either a 1:11 or 1:13 that's awesome.

some great times being posted , well done guys ! ;) keep it up , not to much in it

gvx , i wont be posting a time for this as i think it should be left to the non team members to have there own little battle without us stomping them man , :D :D no offence guys , but mr p is sitting on a bench for these :(

Hey mr persistance if you have done this race would you contact me privatly about your time as to compare?

sorry zero , i have not even attempted these races yet , i'm too busy with the gt2 comp with oz , there are other guys to compare with , it looks like your in the lead so far anyway WELL DONE ! ;)

Yeah barely in the lead Lav01 is catching me fast, I wish I could only pit once

i dont how the F%$# you got a 109 thats awesome.

zeroc i need to pit twice also, but i just stay out and do a crappy lap.
my reasoning is that although my lap times are slower by 6-8 seconds it is still faster than a 30 sec pit.

Are your fronts blood red on your 4th lap? Mine are that's why I have to pit twice, I drafted on those 1:09's. The Camero Race Car is so slow! I just draft it. THe Camero is always 2 laps behind me so I get two chances to draft it and I do. That's how I get the 1:09's.

i never get a draft from anyone. i pass everyone in the pits. except the vertigo and thats in the turns he usually blocks me going onto the straight and slows me down. that sucks i wish i could get drafted.

my last time should have been a few seconds faster, but the edge of the wall before going down hill at the second split, stopped me, dead. no i mean literally DEAD. i touched the inside of the previous right and it sent me just far enough off line to catch my head at about the (X). whoops.

my tires fronts are blood red starting lap 5 dark orange starting lap 4.

I'm not using a Camaro I was drafting a Camero with the 787b mostly on the long front straight.

zero, i've tried the pads and they reguire constant reingaging and tend to be heavier in steering than analog, also the notion that analog is useful for the 8th in of travel of those buttons is silly to me, so in races that have tire wear as a factor i'd try out analog. i'm not so sure that the speeds staying more constant with digital is a good thing in this case. if you could use a car that can be altered, any high brake levels would be a bane on you with digital more so than with analog. but sometimes the steering screws up in analog.

I'm confused about this post what exactly are you trying to get at?

Dude, I had to stop reading it half way through because it was making my head hurt ...

Talentless, would you mind to repost that? In english? (:

Okay, now I have a time I consider acceptable
Mr P - for simplicity, I'm going to show my times for all three parts of the challenge here, and simply edit the times when I improve them (with respect to cut-offs of course). I may not be around a lot in the week up to Xmas, so I may as well post a target!

SS5 pro - 787 10/12
1'17.265
1'10.190
1'30.565 pit in
1'13.724 out
1'10.978
1'29.559 pit in
1'14.027 out
1'10.612
1'11.300
1'12.846
Total 12'41.066

Midfield Reverse hard - Pagani Zonda 20/12
1'13.764
1'06.552
1'06.122
1'07.047
1'06.609
Total 5'40.094

Swiss Alps pro - Subaru Prototype 9/12
1'27.901
1'23.411
1'24.088
1'22.332
1'23.282
Total 7'01.014

Total Combined Time 24'53.786

All times set using GT3 Logitech wheel with no Traction or Stability control, with manual transmission.

Alright, I've got a time!

No offense, but I hardly think my grammar was so bad in that post that it could not be understood, but that aside, I was mereley trying to say that due to the need to repress the the control pad during steering when using digital, and that it is a steering method requiring more force to be effective, tire wear would probably be higher with it than with analog. Also the buttons only press down so far and do not have the range of steering and throttle and acceleration that the sticks have. Coming out of a sharp turn, you have to lower and up the revs more with the buttons than with the stick since you can keep the speed at a constant and thus keep the tires from having to deal with over acceleration/ deceleration with them. But even if you do not have the problem, it seems unlikely braking superiority will be superior with digital. The whole point is about which controller option is better for racing in events that have tire wear as a part of them, and I am arguing for analog. I believe Zero did say he uses digital in another thread.
