Right now, I've got 3 payments left on the 330Ci for the lease, so I'm currently looking around. I've found quite a few deals such as $11,000 off a 2006 C-Class and $80,000 off a last gen. S65 AMG, although that last is still unlikely.

But one of the cars high on my list is the 335i Coupe. It's priced about $50,000, and as close as I can get to a E46 M3 (Classic and Dallas got rid of all of them. :grumpy: ). Anyways, I need to make a color decision somewhat soon (and decide on the car), as if I want the car by the time the lease is up, I'll have to order it by next month.

Anyways, the colors. The car will also feature the 5-spoke wheels you see in these first 2.

Personally I like the "Titanium Silver Metallic", but I know that my parents if they were to buy it would like crimson red (They love red cars...). But I think if I were to buy a car I would be happier to make the descision on my own instead of asking a opinion and then buying it in a certain colour then realising that you don't really like that colour...if you get my drift...

I get what you're saying as I'll have the final word despite the poll. However, I would like to know others' opinions on the colors.

Fair enough then. I voted Titanium Silver Metallic...when I posted that comment the poll wasn't there

I voted Sparkling Graphite Metallic as from the pictures it looks closest to the M3 CSL grey. I imagine it would be easy to keep clean too. I had a 330i Touring in the Deep Metallic Green and it was a royal pain to keep clean.

Monetgo blue looks so good on that!

with that modern shape the car needs a fresh colour...gray and silver isn't really doing it any good. there are way too much silver cars already thats something for boring people bothered about the resale value (and incorrectly choosing a colour thats on its way out?!...)

dark green and dark red are something for old people's cars, just like these weird things like atlantic blue (where is the blue in there?)...

black of course always works, but isn't anything special.
more usual blues also do the job, although i would very much prefer monaco blue over montego, because that montego hardly looks different from the rubbish blue thats on the vauxhall corsa next to it, its a cheap blue you'll find on any cheap car. monaco blue in comparison is a lot more elegant and just looks classy.

however, my absolute favourite on this car is alpine white. white is doing quite a comeback lately and just fits some of these modern shapes perfectly.

White, it's always suited BMWs IMO.

Oh, and the M-Sport bodykits look really nice in white. ;)

White, Montego Blue or the other trend at the moment is 'not quite silvers' like the Platinum Bronze. Some cars look fab in this - but I'm not certain about the BM 3. However, strangely, it does look very funky in the white.

You could always get some vinyl cutters to set you up some subtle 'Carrera' style door stripes... how about the old 2002 'turbo' script, integrating the M-sport tricolore?

White ftw.

White or Crimson Red.

My 320 is in Crimson Red and looks damn fine (when I keep it clean), not a common colour for the 3-series either, so you don't end up looking like everyone else.

White is a nice idea (and was my second choice colour), but having owned a white car in the past I can vouch for how much of a pain they are to keep clean. White cars look great when they are white, but look nasty when even slightly dirty.

Regards

Scaff (I voted red)

Monaco Blue is what I would choose. It's a deep blue that's so much more inviting than the other blue.

Sapphire Black will reveal surface detail as the sun moves over it. Black is tough to keep clean, but is very classy.

Babera Red is something a little different to the normal 3-Series red.

I don't really get white cars, and would almost certainly never have one. The bright colours are all a little too garish for my eyes, and silver is what you should choose when you can't be bothered choosing.

Sparkling Graphite Metallic or Black is what I'd choose if it were me.

There are a lot of options that you really can't go wrong with. I would say that white, black, montego blue and the greys all look pretty good on the car. A lot of the more recent german cars look fabulous in white. It gives the car a clean, nice, soft and fresh look. Black is also nice. It looks rich, and if you tint the windows and get chrome rims you can build your own pimp-mobile:tup:. On a more serious note, black really shows off relections (especially in the shade!) and makes your car look shiny if you keep if pretty clean for a long time. The problem is keeping it clean. That blue just seems to work. I don't know why but it does. I voted for space gray mostly because there is one cruising around my Seattle home in that color and I think it is probably about the coolest car in the area, and I guess the color helps it stand out. The last grey is a bit of a German car staple and the titanium is just different in a cool way.

I'd recommend Sparkling Graphite Metallic as my uncle has a 335D coupe in this colour combined with red leather seats and I think this is a great colour combination for this car:tup:
These cars really stand out and go like stink!:D

Cheers

My salesman said the samething. With the 5-spokes, it looks great, but the grey just isn't an "awesome" color anymore.
dark green and dark red are something for old people's cars, just like these weird things like atlantic blue (where is the blue in there?)...
The only BMW I feel Dark Green is suited for is the E36 3 Series. Of course, I haven't seen it on anything but a 3 Series, but I can imagine why.
Atlantic Blue looks amazing, but imo, only on the 650. The way the 650 is designed, really allows the Atlantic Blue to look good. But according to my salesman, the blue must be really good. Take it as you will, but he said when 1 is ordered and comes in, people really like it and there are at least 5-10 more orders for it.
black of course always works, but isn't anything special.
True. I suppose if I wanted a black car, I would have gotten the TL in it. But the wheel design I'm getting always plays a role for me.

Monaco Blue is def. 1 of my choices. 👍 It looks great on the 5, and I'd totally like to see a 335i with it. Montego was my original choice, but the color looks different outside from in. It's not ugly, but it doesn't quite have the same effect as it does in pictures.

Definately. I'd love to get Alpine White, and slap some sort of dark 5-spoke rims on it. That would be copying a friend though, who's getting something similar, and mine will be a lease. Either way, the white definately looks good. However, I'd have to either A)Opt. for the 2nd set of 5 spoke rims as they really pull off the color or B) See a white 335i w/ the standard 5-spokes.

Agreed.
Babera Red is something a little different to the normal 3-Series red.
It looks strange though. I've never seen one, and I think I'd have to.

Good points for many. As much as I love Alpine White, I don't want to order the car without seeing it. I almost made that mistake with Montego until I saw it in the flesh. Silver looks great, but it gives off a "Meh. Awesome. But Meh."
Sparkling Graphite Metallic or Black is what I'd choose if it were me.
The rims really pull off the black, but I imagine it'll be a pain in the ass to keep clean. It already is for my Carbon Bronze TL. Sparkling Graphite is supposed to look amazing, and different, but I still want to see it outside. I wasn't too thrilled to see it on the M6 Cab. on the floor although...it looked ok.

I'll be tinting the windows, but I don't think Chrome rims are on my list yet. For 1, it's a lease, so they'll just be going back (although, I'll have a couple years to enjoy them), and 2, they have to be aftermarket. I've seen chromed BMW rims, and they just don't look good. Only the 760iL, M6, and 550i really seem to pull it off. And unforunately, none of these are my list though I wish. The 550i was originally, but they're all way over base price, and the lease on one is something I don't want to ask.

The Space Gray seems to be a popular alternative for the other, but I'm not really keen on it myself.

Another Sparkling Graphite fan. :) Although...I'd never go for the red interior. Not the way BMW has it, and certainly not with the Sparkling. I would only get red interior on Alpine White, but with red in the center, and black all around. Red leather seats just don't look good to me. I did see a M Roadster silver, and have red leather, but that was still borderline good looking.

Barbera red. All real men get their cars in that color.
Real men must like to lay low as I've never seen one. :p

I checked the box for Barbera Red, simply because its different. I never see BMWs in that color around here, as every one seems to be black, silver, red or blue. The red must be ordered with the tan leather and the darker colored wood trim. When I say 'must' I literally mean MUST.

I must ask:

Have you taken a look at the new Merdedes-Benz C350 or the Cadillac CTS DIG?

Not the CTS, but I did look at the new C350. But they claim they'll pay off my remaining 3 payments on the 330Ci, and NOT add any cost to doing so ontop of my payments which I call BS.
And on the CTS, no offense to you, but I'm not even considering it. The front grill and design is just too ugly for me to want it.

No, I don't mind. I figured I'd ask if you had given it a look (since they are the nearest competitors in terms of performance, price, etc). That Mercedes deal is interesting though, I assume they only offer it to non-MB customers?

I've only seen one of the new C-classes so far (a C300 Sport) and I quite liked it. I wasn't able to get inside, but just looking at the MB compared to the Caddy, I'd have to say that this has to be the first time I could ever say Cadillac had a better-looking interior...

My top two choices would be white and deep green. White can be pretty boring on some cars, but I think it works really well with the couple. And I have always liked dark green and it looks pretty cool in that picture, although it's not a coupe. After that I would say the two blues and Artic Metallic are good as well.

Probably so, but that's way too good to be true. I know Michael fell for that when he wanted to lease a 'Vette, and when they paid off his payments on his previous car, they charged him for it on top of the Corvette. So, he basically said screw that, lost his deposit he put down, and moved on to his M3. So, I really don't think they're legit unless I get it in writing.

Alpine White would look OK, but I think a dark color interior would go with it better than a tan or other light color interior. As always, white is a difficult color to keep clean, but it also hides marks and dings better than dark colors.

Jet Black/Black Sapphire Metallic would look great. Again, black is a pain in the ass to keep clean, but nothing looks better when it is. It exudes class.

Space Gray Metallic is another alternative - Easier to keep clean than black or white. I've seen this color on a 335 in person, and it looks darker than pictured!!!

Titanium Silver Metallic just fits the car.

I think if I had to choose, it would either be Titanium Silver, or Black Sapphire. And I'd have to see them both in person to decide. Take a look at all of the colors you're considering in person, if you can - It probably won't look the same in person as it does on paper.

I voted for Monaco Blue. It's the modern-BMW equivalent of my favorite color (Porsche also has a paint color that nails it).

Scaff's looks awesome in red. My E46 looks good in a shade similar to that Montego Blue.

That being said, I saw a 335 coupe today in white with a red interior - it was very different from the run-of-the-mill BMW, and it looked great.

Just do not get black or grey under any circumstances - 90% of them will end up being bough in one of those 3 colors. Silver is OK, but not black or grey.

I voted for Montego Blue because I've seen the 3 series fly by in that color, and it's just stunning. It was also helped by the fact that around where I live, there aren't many blue cars around, but lots and lots and lots of silver/grey/black BMWs, so the fact that it was a blue BMW helped it stand out of the crowd. Plus, Montego Blue most reminds me of Le Mans Blue Metallic on the E39 M5 (which was seriously the most underrated color for the M5, and yes, I loved the M5 in that color).

I think though that a lighter color like Titanium Silver Metallic would show off the edges/creases of the car better than a darker color, which would make the car styling more dynamic and interesting, or more annoying and uglier, depending on how much you like Bangle's designs.

I don't think that Alpine White is a bad color, but I just think that it's going to be blindingly bright when it's sunny out, and it just seems too... white and blank...
