They move out of the way just like in Midtown Madness 3. This camera angle was not meant to be because I was driving really bad. It just happen that the spectator just jump in front of the car while i was in replay. I thought it was a hilarious picture grab.
 
Thanks Symtex for the nice pics and those videos are sharp....although I find it hard to even watch someone else drive with the chase camera angle, nonetheless drive that way myself. Hey does the demo let you pick a different camera?? May we see ???

i just read in another thread that u had some one million subscribers thing or sum**** like that, and everyone was like stfu. i dunno seemed a little bit shady to me too, thats why im giving u **** now. and for those that want to know, my laptop is getting *refreshed* japan has this plan where once ur laptop is six months old u take it to the main repair shop and they clean out everything like dust and replace worn things like the touchpad or some keys , so as soon as i get it back ill have some caps fer ya ;) plus i just spent 20 dollars to get *this community* 10 pages of pics that i really DIDNT have to scan i could have been happy enough reading them in the shop. and it takes you a whole day to make a vid?
 
and who said i was sitting on my ass when im constantly going and recording video so u ppl can see? who went and got video of backfire? who WHO??! besides adban :)

what the hell are you talking about ? My ISP that I work for has 1 millions subscriber not me. All I did was bringing good quality picture and video for this community are you are being a complete @ss.

LOL, and this is why PD has to stop showing those photo mode renders to evryone, fact is very few people realize that the game doesn't have 1/3dh the res from the pics on the web. those ARE in fact pics of what the game actually looks like, please make sure you get your facts straight before you go open your mouth and put some one down.
 
I hope you like the picture and the video I made. I spent quite a deal of money on this new Mpeg-2 hardware encoder to make those video / screenshot. If you did enjoy them and want to see some more, just le me know what you want to see and i'll get some capture for you guys tonight.

I think he was mislead by the word "new" in the thread title and thought that he'd find pics showing new content. In my opinion the title makes absolutely clear what you'll find inside though.

i don't know how much ur hardware decoder costed, but my cheapo TV-card had a price of 1 PS2 game :)

The differences between your card and mine is really simple. Yours is using software to render frames. Mine uses hardware. That means when you are grabbing a video, it's done by the devices so you are sure that no fram are going to be skip. I cannot guarantee the same with a software base encoder. Also mine does DIVX encoding in real-time. I don't have to use any converter or anything like that.
 
Apparently the program i'm using to capture is not saving the video in the right format size. I had to remake all video in a standard 720x480 mpeg2. The size of each have increase by 3x. If you want to download them again you are all welcome

I added a video with a different camera. I just drove really bad so please no comments on the driving :scared:
 
Come now. The good news out of this thread is that we're getting some more pictures of GT4. As I said before, it doesn't matter if the picture looks like crap. If it looks like GT4, plays like GT4, and acts like GT4, it's Gran Turismo freaking 4, isn't it :odd:? Eh, player?

I don't know if some of you thought about this deal like this, but can some of you imagine the graphical quality of this old Mitsu Lancer in GT1 compared to what we have now? Some of you may remember the past Lancer racing mods. I think this one in recent pictures is an Evo 3, I'm not sure. The quality of detail on cars is very good and really shows how the GT series has evolved graphically. Some say GT2 looks better than GT1. I say... marginally. Nothing really groundbreaking. And if you don't call GT4 groundbreaking, you a straight-up hater. And haters get no love, or that's what you learn in the 'hood, you know?

Anyhow, keep on rollin' folks.

I hope you don't think GT4 looks like crap in any of the picture / video I posted because you are going to be extremly dissapointed when you get the game. It's an exact representation of what the game looks like while playing it. It's a direct feed.

I don't like the word photorealistic. no game on this generation is close to the level of details needed to call it Photorealistic. If you have read my previous post on this board, Some of the track visual (Fuji Speedway, Tsukuba) are extremely well done.


I think Technicaly, Gran Turismo 4, texture are still low-res and the game still needs anisotropic and AA samples but I think they did a very good job with what they had to work with, Kudos to PD for that. Some of the screenshot or video I've done are very very very good. It's going to be a quality products.

It is not. As all of us could learn in past year, the most important things in GT4 are, strictly by this order:

1. 3D rims in-game (it adds so much to an gameplay value)
2. 3D spectators (most important aspect of the series EVER)
3. Different-sized backflames (now when just "backflames" are just not enough)
4. Skidmarks (second most important feature ever)
5. Spoilers, plastic crap 4 carz and neon lights

99. Even more realistic driving model
100. Better AI

I rest my case here.
