Please test my car lastSeriously though, I have had the game since the beginning, and I know most tracks like the back of my hand but I avoided the 'Ring like the plague because it's terrible for racing on and I don't hotlap. About a month ago I figured I had come up with a tuning secret or two (turned out not to be the case of course) and wanted to try it out on the 'Ring for some reason. Ran a few laps, tuned a few cars there and started to like running hot laps there, although it still sucks for racing. Since then I've probably run 50 laps there and can honestly say I learn something every lap about angles of attack, where the grip is, entry speeds and how to set up a car with just the right balance to be able to attack most corners but still be reasonably safe. I will probably never put enough time into the track to compete with guys like Praiano but it's a constant challenge and that's what it's all about. If you had the track mastered, what would you do then?

Yeah, it's a shame, but there's not much I can do about it.I´m impressed, great tune, just one thing, after 3 or 4 laps it stay at 400PP but you can see a difference of power with the ghost of the first lap.
When i went to check the power limiter, i was able to pt it at 99.9% staying 400PP. i think everybody who test the car will have this experience.
I am suddenly hearing "Eye of the Tiger"![]()
When you say [No car from the top 10 in the first round can be entered into the second round] in the case of the MR2 spyder `02, does the [MR-S V edition (6MT) `02] considered as a ``different car´´ ????
I guess we'll go with same, since most cars have at least one almost-same version.praiano63

My BMW 120 is shared.
Praiano your friends list is full.
Can someone explain what it means by 1% limit on the power limiter?
It means you aren't allowed to set the power limiter any lower than 99.0% So anywhere between 100% and 99% is fine.
I've seen people say this before. I love racing at the 'Ring. Probably worth noting that I grew up in deepest, darkest Dorset, so I'm used to hurtling down country lanes, trimming the hedgerows with my wing mirrors...

Maybe if I found a group of clean drivers dedicated to the 'Ring my experience might be different. I can honestly say, although my experience is limited, I've never been passed clean there and executing clean passes on guys driving up the centre of the road is extremely unlikely. I've tried Open Lobbies that so called "specialize" in the 'Ring and they are no better, maybe worse.
I updated round 2, because the 1000KG weight limit started to seem really silly, and I couldn't think of any reason I banned it.Round 2
Top 10 tuner entries, any drivers
All rules same as the first round, except as follows:
PP limit will be 420PP
The use of power limiter is not allowed at all.
Ballast is free to be added as pleased.
No car from the top 10 in the first round can be entered into the second round, all entries must be with different cars, car boundaries are the same as round 1. No concepts, RM's, race cars, rally cars allowed.
Have you posted a tune for your car yet?My BMW 120 is shared.

I guess, I was hoping someone else would do it.Have you posted a tune for your car yet?
@CSLACR are you going to post raVer's tune for him?

Johnny, you're 100% right. You've raced in my lobby before and you may have heard me mention how I dislike racing on the ring because if you encounter someone as good as you, it's just a waiting game until one of the few straights wide enough to make a pass. Most of the turns that require hard braking also involve early apexes so its not like you can out brake someone to make a pass. Then you've got the drivers that don't know the course very well. You either fly past them when they miss a corner or you ram them when they brake way too early. For a 7-10 minute lap, you might have 3-4 opportunities to pass. Compare that to Tsukuba or GVE where you have an opportunity every 20-30 seconds.

Sent MCH and Cowboys PM's yesterday, only 2 registered submissions we don't have yet. 👍
Yes, the 24hr or TypeV helps weed out the newbs.
Personally though, I have more fun on GP/F and GP/D. They have the right combination of turns to weed out bad tunes and straights just long enough to get you side by side for a hard brake zone.
Type V ftw![]()
Forgive my ignorance, but there's a Type V variation and it's in GT5? I never knew!
Also is a 9:18 lap of the 24H track in a 550PP car on SS tyres a reasonable lap time? Bearing in mind the many near spins I had, I thought it was alright, but some of you lot would say otherwise.
Thats not badYeah its a bit different to to the 24 hour one. Speaking of 24 hour races.............what a ****ing joke! just done the le sarthe b-spec one and 500k credits and a TS020 as a prize! the prizes on this game are ridiculous
That's PD for ya.
Hey, at least you can say you did the 24 hours of LeMan now! (Without saying anything about poor old Bob who drove it all for you.)
