After a faster car than current car must be Mazda for online race. Current car rx7 FD with fab racing tune. Running abs1 g27
Cheers

Yeah, the 'Concept' rx8's are juiced a bit more in gt6 as well as gt5.
Not sure how well it would be down-tuning it to 450 though.
Also, I have had the Kusabi beefed up to win the 650pp Willow springs event on SS tires. It was obviously well under 650pp, but its very quick and I got it to work enough to win anyway.
As far as, again, down-tuning to 450pp goes, No idea. But it is a very overlooked beast of agility.
Good Luck man ^^

I forgot all about the Kusabi :dopey: haven't used that thing in ages. It's a fantastic little car, great for 450pp. And @DolHaus is right too, you'll be very hard pushed to beat an RX500 with anything, let alone another Mazda. It almost feels unfair winning races in that car

Rx500 it is then. Just looking over the tune competition doesn't mention upgrading rim size. I do it on all my cars because they look better. But there is no mention of it ,I reckons it does affect the handling to a certain degree due the reduced tyre wall. Just guessing the handling would have to over compensate a harder ride. Cheers tuner guys PS sorry in advance for newbie questions.

Thanks guys just wondering onnur tunes for comp etc do you upgrade rim size and doing that do you over compensate for the harder ride. I notice the RX 550 is tuned to 550 pp .If I drop turbo upgrade and tune down to 450pp would it still better than rx8 ?cheers sorry for newbie questions

Good choice 👍

I believe the rim size was mandated to be standard size only in this FITT challenge.:)

Testing has shown that rim size increase does effect the handling. If you feel the car could benefit from a larger wheel I'd say use it, or at least try it. Depending on the set-up this small change can make a big difference, so I wouldn't recommend sticking on the biggest wheels and changing the set-up to suit. Find the right sized wheels for the set-up. It may be up 2" or it may be standard size. It really comes down to driver preference as much as anything else. Trial and error is the name of the game (Not literally, I know.)

Don't worry about it! We all like to help where we can. 👍

On the average circuit Like GVS, Suzuka, Nurb GP/F I would think so. On longer, faster tracks such as Monza, La Sarthe or Fuji, I'm not so sure but I wouldn't bet against it

500k not spending that lol.My rx7 is very close . knocked out 2-22 at my test track Bathurst without causing out too many headaches. I'm thinking of try a rx8 setup on it less transmission change see how it fairs. Wish me luck lol

For the FITT competition, rim size was mandated to be standard size for the purpose of keeping it simply for the testers. This way, they could test all the RX-8s or S2000s using theoretically one car and just changing the setup. More cost effective and easier. Adding inch up 1 to most of the tunes should not make too much of a difference. +2 may not really sure.

Grrr, phones!

The larger wheel will make a difference, I've been focusing a bit more on them this month due to a little joint project I've been working on. Shhh, it's a secret  when tuned on standard size, the 1"up wheel gave a little extra stability due to reduced flex, which helped the suspension setup. The 2" up wheel was too rigid and hurt the setup.

After adjustments were made else where with the 1"inch up wheel on the car, going up to 2" had the same benefits as before. So I'd say going up from standard to 2"up will most likely need a little tweak here or there. 👍

Rx8 with tuner 4 setup is as quick as my rx7 with the final drive dropped down 3:5 to give me a good straight line speed on Bathurst. It seems a bit more stable and forgiving compared to rx7. Of course tested offline ,racing on line will be slower of course. The brake sensitivity is set low on rx8 making it a bit skatey.Hopefully we don't race to many long tracks and I'll be reset the final drive to suit tracks . Thanks for doing the testing guys on 450pp .As like most people I tend to or our group does go for higher pp racing ,but using the lower pp it comes down to tuning and driving skills. Cheers

Good luck with that tune, if you put bigger rims on it, let us know if it changes the handling.:) I will let the tuner know if he has not seen this already.;)
