Everything is in the video description. But, since you asked... No, there aren't any modifications =)
Traction Control is set to 5 and ABS is set to 1, that's it.

Ahh, I watched it embedded so didn't see that. Racing slick hard plus traction control will do it. Good lap, but it doesn't look like a road car with 570bhp when you boot it out of a slow corner in second gear and it just sticks The real car does that lap in the mid 7:20 range I believe. Slick tyres are a pretty serious mod

And in real life you normally don't have the balls to drive like that. I was really pushing it and still struggled to get it under 7 minutes in my first efforts.

I can't tell you how much this video inspired me.

Up to now I hated the 458...much preferred the F430...but watching your video made me want to use it. Now I think it's brilliant. Thank you.

Then I wondered how competitive I'd be...I love a good GT challenge see...and I've just managed it in 6:52.966 in the same stock 458, except TC = 0. With a pad!

The overarching theme of my post, though, is that I now realise how much fun the 458 really is. What a wonderful car.
