I've always found pink to be an under-used colour in motorsports. Maybe because pink is traditionally a "girl's" colour and motorsport is almost unanimously masculine. But pink is a particularly powerful colour, especially the darker shades:

Enter David Pinkney:

And, of course, Greg Murphy has another graffiti-style Pepsi Max design:

If good liveries made cars go faster, then I expect Murphy, Winterbottom and Webb will be very competitive ...

Only problem is that Murph's car isn't #51. :(

But what about the 2004 Saleen Vitaphone livery

It has to do with the way Racing Entitlement Contracts are divided up. Drivers don't own numbers - teams do. The REC is registered with a particular number for a particular car. When a driver like Murphy joins a team, they can apply to have the number changed. That way, Murphy can race under the number 51. However, Murphy joined Kelly Racing too late to have the number changed, so it was decided that they would run with the number 11, because that is the number the REC is registered under. The 51 was 'protected' - preventing it from being used by another driver - by being given to Fujitsu driver Daniel Jilesen, who is supported by Murphy.

The red doesn't seem tacked-on the way it is on the Renault R31. Honestly, I hope next year's Renault goes in for something like this.

If they're changing to "Lotus" though, isn't green or black more likely? Yellow and black is more Renault colours.

I think they've said they'll keep the black and gold. But I could see the yellow replaced by a sort of sandy-gold colour.

I love my Gulf´s Martini´s FINA´s etc but there´s only one true livery :)

but the finest Scuderia Ferrari livery is the Red & Black one.
