Perhaps I wasn't clear enough with my posts, the M3 is a luxurious all-rounder, the Boss is a beefed-up version of a more attainable sportscar.

My point resides on the fact that if you want to have fun on the weekends and money isn't relevant, you'd have a nice track comparison, but unfortunately, price does have a profound effect on the success of a car. And still, which one of these would take from work to home in more comfort, and which one of these would put a grin on your face when people are impressed with the quality of the cabin and the awesome seats? They are on different price leagues and again, have completely different ethos. The BMW justifies the extra premium by being a premium car on the road.

Still disagree. And have you sat in a Boss Mustang? The seats are freaking awesome. Different price leagues? Not so much actually.

Honestly, any argument from anyone on here (including myself) is a moot point unless that person has driven both cars. I'm willing to bet $20 that nobody has.

You were quite clear, but it still isn't relevant considering the discussion was about the prowess of the Mustang's suspension. What difference does it make how nice the interior is on the BMW or anything along those lines?

I checked my dealer's website and it's sticker is $48,575. Still, I bet one could walk in with $40,000 cash and drive it out. And that still is a huge bargain considering the M3 starts at $55,900.

I have doubts about that... Rarity + demand makes for solid msrp if not mark up.
With a boss mustang I would expect mark up and hope the deal comes in the form of financing.

Btw I point back to my previous post, if you can write off the cars interior then my sti owns the rs6 and all that matters are track times and numbers on paper. :p

Strangely I never mentioned suspension in my comments, I just pointed out that one is a luxury performance car, the other is a performance pony car. Hence the interior quality appears on my comments.

I haven't driven the Mustang nor I think I will ever sat in a Boss considering where I live, which is also, on our terrible roads and reading reviews of non-american magazines(let's be honest, many of them are encouraging Ford to compare their new baby to the M3 on a specific track test), what makes me think that. I had the opportunity to drive the M3 on pretty severed tarmac and the ride was extremely compliant, I doubt very much ( from what I've read ) the Boss could pull something like that. The M3 can and would still be a blast driven on countryside roads.

I'll rest my case. I don't care how they compare on the track, I care how they are to live with.

The boss is a street legal race car with a dealership's warranty.
 
^Lolwat? I don't think the Mustang has ever been a race car. At least not the current generation. And the GTR doesn't count, it was only a concept.

Speaking of M3's, I think the current ones are overpriced. If I wanted an M3 I'd buy an E36 or E46 for a better price then the new one.

MSRP for a Boss Mustang is almost exactly $40,000 at $40,310. You can and will find dealerships to sell you one. The one they have listed is $48k because it has a whole **** load of dealership installed extras. You walk in to a Ford dealer hand them a check for $40,310 + TT&L and tell them you want a Boss Mustang with no extras on it and in a color that they do not have on the lot and they will find you one or order you one.

I don't get why you don't think about the Used Market. M3 is a better deal NOW, give the Mustang a couple years and then we'll see.

As for your attitude, why so harsh? Eric was just trying to point out that you need better grammar and spelling because, honestly, it's almost impossible to read towards the end.
 
I agree a used market M3 is nice but a mustang is cheaper to own in terms of buying one used and maintenance. You cannot deny the fact that M3s are just all around expensive unless you get a very old m3. It just gets old with people always thinking the m3 is the most superior car. To be honest my favorite car is the STI(and forester STI)

I, I don't know what to say, I really like this. Never ever have I seen one, and I've seen and driven a lot of US cars.

I always thought the Mustang II was interesting, which is probably the least insulting thing it has ever been called since 1980.
 
It's just, wow, I really don't know, I just might go on the hunt for something like that,
I'll bet my ass it will be a whole lot cheaper then my other American car obsession, a late 40's, early 50's Hudson.

It has a bit of a 70's Japanese styling (which the Japanese probably copied from the US cars) and I really like it.

I just realized it's only been in production for 4 years.
 
It was only in production for 4 years, but over those four years they sold more of them then the entire rest of the Mustang's history or something silly like that.
