I think this maximum garage limit, credit limit, value of gift car limit, are all stupid and useless, just let us keep as much as we want, it serves no purpose to limit us.

50 million credit limit is more than enough

Sure, it's a high ceiling, but there isn't really a point to limiting it to that.
Honestly, I can understand why they want to limit the garage to 500 and have the stockyard as an overflow spreadsheet. It helps keep the game running smoothly. It's good in theory. In practice, it failed horribly since they didn't seem to have a chance to play test and fix this massive bug in the game's code. I'm surprised how this was not a massive priority to fix, but then again, Polyphony does have the credit exploit to deal with.

Yes..tornado's are coming..

And aliens...

you know, I think the limit should be calculated like this.

The sum of buying every car, every paint item, every suit, every tuning item, once, then rounding UP, to the nearest x figure

999,999,999,999 cr might be reasonable, still pointless isn't it?

As someone who likes to collect every car, this 500 car limit grinds my gears because:

1) Stockyard takes ages to load and save
2) Can't use cars online
3) The "v" icon in the dealership that tells you that you already bought the car disappears

THIS IS UTTERLY ANNOYING! :banghead:
PUSH THE DAMN LIMIT TO 1500, PD!!!!!!!!111!!!11!!

We need an option to set our own garage limit with the trade off being loading times. They limited the main garage to 500 so it loads faster, but I'll gladly trade a few seconds to increase the limit to 1000. Others who only have 100 cars can reduce it and get even quicker load times, while those who likes to collect multiple colours might need 2000 slots, at the cost of GT5's load times.

As it is the stockyard is more annoying than useful. Make it happen PD!

i dont find it so problematic, is near impossible that a player uses 500 different cars online, at least for me.
1200 cars in stockyard, 15 well tuned ones for every pp range

Exactly! This limit needs patched asap. =/ I have been complaining about this for months!

Yeah that's what I'm worried about, I bought every single car I like and I am about 20 cars away from completing my ultimate list.
Good gravy! I think I have something like 140 total, all prize cars included, and there aren't any additional cars that I'm really craving.

Edit: Forgot I sold the Red Bull cars, they were less than useless to me, so I'm actually short 4 from all the prize cars.

Did PD not mention the garage limit of 500 cars is just so we can get every Skyline in the game and every other car is supposed to go in the stockyard :sly:

ugh 500 that is it? Why brag about how many cars your game has when you won't even lets players own all of them?

You do own them. You just park them in the stockyard. It's like jay Leno leaving most of his cars in the garage and only driving a third of them.

Since they fixed the issue with the stockyard deleting cars, I'm not bothered about the limit tbh. But obviously I realise some people are.

Still, I do agree that the blue tick for ownership disappearing is annoying.

Isn't it? I just blew 500.000Cr buying a duplicated car :yuck: And just how the hell am I going to complete the collection if I don't know which cars I do have and do not have?

And let me add a kind of meme here (not that it happened to me):

In GT5, people blew real money buying DLC cars like these:
Honda weider HSV-010 (SUPER GT) '11
Subaru BRZ S '12
Nissan GT-R N24 GT Academy '12
Volkswagen 1200
In GT6, stockyard them all :banghead:

I downloaded the car list early on (before the ticks were added) and have been ticking them off old fashioned style. It's the only way.

Ahaha, that's exactly how I used to do it. But since we had the ticks, I didn't do that this time. It's going to be hell to start doing that now, as I have about 540 cars... argh...

The problem is pepole are buying again all the cars like in GT5, and they just collect dust.
Sure i did buy too all cars that are available in GT5...
But in GT6 i buyed only those wich werent in GT5.. so the new cars...
And some old from GT5
And in total is have around 160 cars plus the anniversary cars..

So i dont understand why buy the same cars again??

Because you can't drive the cars you bought in GT5 in GT6 unless you buy them in GT6.

I like having the stock yard but as others have said it should not remove the tick from the cars you own when browsing the dealership and it would also be nice if the garage limit were the total number of cars in the game+ number of cars planned to add so as to make it possible to have one of everything in the garage at the same time if that is what you want.

I think I have somewhere near 400 cars in my garage right now.

500 car limit is dumb, PD should raise the limit to 2000 cars like in GT5, or maybe implement multiple garages of 500 cars each, that would enable players to collect all cars as well as group cars in separate garages.
Also, PD needs to make all garage cars available in arcade mode, being limited to only 100 cars in a crap favorites list that cannot be sorted in any way is incredibly annoying.

PD doesn't believe in giving the players options, we are to use they game how they want us to use it and be happy about it. Thank you sir, may I have another. :sly:

It's not as bad as gran Turismo 2's garage limit. 100 out of around 650 was a pain. I have only 419 cars in my garage so far in Gran Turismo 6. I don't want to use the stockyard because of the glitches.

So is the Stockyard fixed 100% or not? I did put a few cars in the stockyard at 1.09 i think and so far, cars are still there.

But do you really have to have 400 versions of skylines, 200 of miatas etc..?
