I connect every single time at 26.4K. w00t.
The really sad thing is that I download a heapful of stuff with it... I think I spend more time waiting on my Internet connection than I do sleeping.

I always go for 192Kbs. I'm not sure why people download 128, the quality is terrible. If you go higher than 192, you're just wasting hard drive space because the quality difference between 192 and a higher rate is negligible.

I can tell the difference between 192 and 320 bitrate. I rip all my MP3s at 320. Anything else is unacceptable.
I got Office Space(around 500MB DivX) in about 40 minutes.... But I also own the DVD, so is it stealing?>Originally posted by RVDNuT374
How about this for cable? I downloaded a 328 MB file in only 38:30.I don't have the best cable connection to begin w/ however.

But the quality! The quality! THE QUALITY!
Yeah, web site browsing is fine, so long as you don't have a bloated browser and you don't disable the cache. I personally want cable though to increase download times-- that's where the big difference lies. I can download a 1 MB file in 5-7 minutes... cable users can do so usually in less than 10 seconds. Now you know why I told you that I don't download music.Originally posted by M5Power
Everybody says that Broadband is so much better, but when doing a simple task like browsing sites like this (which is about all I demand from the Web), the difference isn't too noticeable.
