I've been downloading a bunch of Motorsport related movies.

Yesterday I got a great one of Jeremy Clarkson (of the tv show "Top Gear") running both an xjr-15 race car and a McLaren f1.

In the process he says...

"The XJR-15 was only raced 3 times but that was enough to confirm that what you are looking at is the worst handling car of all time."

Finally got another clean race in. This is probably the smoothest I've ever driven any car - I hope it's because I'm improving, not just dumb luck.

I had one race just a touch quicker but got four tyres on the "Red" Tarmac for just an instant. I think I've about reached the limits of MY driving w/this Ride!

Fun ride but after two attempts I don't think I can catch Tannis in this one!

Okay, I needed a pick-up from a crappy JGTC race today, so I thought I'd post this. I don't have a way to post replays, so if that's a major problem, count this as an unofficial time. But I will provide sector times and a re-cap of the race to give as much information about the run.

First off, the basics:

Name: Mulsanne
Car Used: Nissan 350Z LM
Final Time: 22'42.175
Exact Power and Weight: 549 BHP/1041 kg

Here's how the race went: Lap 1, pass the Panoz at the entrance to the Esses, the McLaren at the exit of the Esses. Duck inside the Pagani at Tertre Rouge, and pass both the Nissan Concept and Ford GT 05 on the run to the first Mulsanne chicane.

Sector times for Lap 1: 38.663 / 1'16.324 / 1'46.091 / 2'10.690 / 2'41.613 / 3'13.062 / 3'43.726
Lead lap one by 10.5 seconds

Lap 2 sector times: 32.568 / 1'10.131 / 1'39.648 / 2'04.048 / 2'34.800 / 3'06.616 / 3'40.018
Lead by 16.5 seconds, pit at end of lap, come out third.

Lap 3: 58.867 / 1'36.157 / 2'05.631 / 2'30.079 / 3'00.893 / 3'32.996 / 4'04.121
Still 3rd, but only 7-8 seconds out of the lead

Lap 4: Pass the McLaren at the Dunlop Chicane for 2nd, pass Panoz at 1st Mulsanne chicane for the lead. Between the two chicanes, he passes me, I outbrake him into the second chicane, retaking the lead and pulling away, only to pit at the end of the lap. Lead by 4 seconds. Pit, come out 4th.

Lap 5: pass the Pagani at exit of 1st Mulsanne chicane for 3rd

Catch the McLaren during the lap, pass him at entrance to the Ford Chicane to take second, only 1.65 seconds behind the Panoz.

Fastest Lap 3'34.963 on L6
Top speed was 200 into the first Mulsanne chicane.
No wheels into the dirt, grass or red pavement. Two inside wheels onto the kerbs at the chicanes. Only problem was a slide at Arnage on the last lap, where I got the two outside wheels onto the kerb on the exit and the car slid all the way to the other side of the track.

Hope that was enough documentation to make this an official run. Thanks to Old Geezer for letting me know about this.
