720 pp Drag Racing @ Fuji

People have always wanted to have darg racing, so I have made this event. It's the next best thing we have to it drag racing.

Fuji has the longest streight of any track in GT5P so i picked it as the most suitable track

Your Car
You can enter in any car, just as long as it has no more than 720pp

What To Do
Just enter fuji pro 800pp (times & days below) and when the race starts pull over to side of track (try to avoid hitting other drivers) then turn backwards and drive to the start of the streight. At the start of the streight, there is a curb just after the last corner on the track. Line up side by side with the other drag racers than at 1:00 on the race timer, GO. Feel Free to rev your engines before the 40 second mark to build the tension!.!.! First one to the end of the streight wins. Re-runs every 60 seconds

Times & Days

Days; Wednesday - Saturday
Time; 7:00pm (UK Time) / 15 / 30 / 45

Rules
-No drafting / slipstreaming
-No punting

I hope to use a mines.
Testing would probably arcade rolling starts and noting time and speed until the first corner wall.

yeah i'll do some testing. the nissan GT-R already pretty much has a perfect gear ratio so I won't be using it because part of the skill is setting up your car.
 
Ill enter this. Wont be on, on Wednesday though as the football is on! But other than that, sounds pretty fun.
 
Interesting challenge, but (correct me if I'm wrong) I can't seem to find the goal of this challenge somewhere. I guess the goal is who reaches the end of the long straight first, but that is not written anywhere.
Also,

thanks, i'll edit it. just line at the start of the curb on the streight
 
Ive found a 200mph car with 720PP

Fastest time from curb to past start line to the end of T1 wall including sand = 9.1 seconds.
 
I am guessing that is 19:00 UK time? :indiff: I would have liked to join in a Corvette, but that time rules me out.

I'd say the start would be last corner at the extra part of track.
Finish slamming into wall? (no brakes needed then :dopey:)


Well I guess at the start we follow each other then line up checking with the outside car cam.
 
You should change the times to :02 :17 :32 :47 since the current times are busy for normal racing.

And what do you mean 7:00PM? The time is different depending on where you live you know, 7:00PM is 6:00AM somewhere else..

I'll try this out anyway!

EDIT: Also, it should be like this.. The first couple starts after 40 seconds, another couple after 50 seconds and so on..

Think I may have something here. Ran a 23.8s @ 208mph in my car. This was done from the rumble strip to the white line right before the turn.

I can guess your car is a GT :P
Mine did 208mph aswell.

Time was from the start of lap to the end of T1 plus the smash = 9 secs
 
Yep a vette. I am trying other cars as well. Just not the GT.
Tryed a different car. 215mph top speed and it spun the tires through 3rd.

I guess where you start will depend the speed.

I started at the very back with the GT 217mph and slam (too bad no burnout crash)

Its fun when I brake and turn (super brake lock)
 
I start exactly where the rumble strip ends into the edge of the track, I guess around 218-220 if from the back.

Im not gonna bother :lol:

Had a run online and the re-run timings were random... so the drag was not equal...


anyways back to my essay 👍

sorry about that, just got the PSN message now. I will change the re-run times to 1:00 :) My PS3 was'ent picking up the signal propley or somthing.

You really should not be doing this. You know that right? You do realize that because of the "rubberbanding", by you pulling over, you're effecting everyone else on the track? You will be causing the rest of the racers at the front to have GARBAGE handling? This is just as bad as those "drifting" in online events.

It would be different if we had private rooms, then everyone would be on board. But, we don't. You are imposing your will upon others.
