OK I'm going to try and put together a sweet 80 mix.I'm only going to use the suggestions from my fellow GTP members. So make your suggestions good ones.

P.S. It's completely legal.

White Wedding - Billy Idol (80's i think :odd:)

*stares at computer screen*

The Message - Grandmaster Flash& Furious Five
Patience - Gun's 'N Roses
Thunderstruck, Back in Black, TNT - AC/DC
Where the Streets have no name - U2

That's all I can think of but that's a good starting point for me.

Stevie Ray Vaughan (any)
Run DMC (any and all)
Van Halen (any and all)
I've also got craploads of 1980's electro - great stuff :D

The Jesus And Mary Chain - Nine Million Rainy Days

OMD - Enola Gay
Haircut 100 - Boy Meets Girl

That will do for a start.

Modern English - Melt with You
Dexy's Midnight Runners - Come on Ileen
Men Without Hats - Safety Dance
Psychadelic Furs - Anything from their first three disks
Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe
Simple Minds - Pretty much anything.

Damn, I forgot to mention the Furs. I thought of them but got distracted before I put in a song.

Try Love My Way or perhaps the original Pretty In Pink.

Good tips from NeonDuke.

Pet Shop Boys - West end girls / Suburbia
Baltimora - Tarzan Boy
Madness - our house
Bomb the bass - Beat Dis
Breakfast Club - Don't you forget about me

Well thanks to everyone thus far .I'm going to be busy.

Keep them coming.

:Edit: I'll post my play list so for after i download all these.:D

The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary
Van Halen - Any of their music (not their first album, as it was released in the late 70's)
AC/DC - Anything from the Brian Johnson era

And if they released music in the 80's, The Ramones and the Talking Heads wouldn't be bad choices either

You know Breakfast Club is not a band right?

Not 100% until you said so. Vague memories of the movie.

[edit] Who did the song to the soudtrack then? Simple minds or?

Simple Minds. I don't think that particular song is on any of their albums, though. You might have to get the soundtrack.

I most have more.

Devo - Girl U Want
Faith No More - Epic
Faith No More - Falling to Pieces
Dinosaur Jr. - In a Jar (or anything from You're Living All Over Me)

Some of the ones I deleted, while excellent songs, tend a bit more towards the very-late '80s and pre-'90s. Lets see what else we can come up with:

Devo - Working In A Coal Mine or Whip It
Blondie - One Way Or Another or Rapture
Snow - White Horse
The Cure - Boys Don't Cry or Three Imaginary Boys (early '80s) and Pictures Of You or Why Can't She Be You
The Jam - Town Called Malice or Start!
Elvis Costello - Pump It Up or Red Shoes or I'm Not Angry
X - Blue Spark or The Have Nots
Yaz - Situation (this is the actual name of the song I mentioned above)
Laurie Anderson - Big Science and Walking & Falling and O Superman
King Crimson - Elelphant Talk or Three Of A Perfect Pair
The Housemartins - Happy Hour or Flag Day (who would ever have thought Fatboy Slim started here?!)
Human League - Fascination
Brian Eno - Regiment or Help Me Somebody

I'm trying to avoid the more obvious popular stuff, while still hitting the standouts.

Motley Crue - Kickstart My heart, Girls Girls Girls,

Whitesnake - Here I go again..

Guns and Roses - Anything off of Appetite for Destruction!!

Soft Cell - Tainted love
Michael Jackson - Billie Jean
David Bowie - Lets dance
Dire Straits - Money for Nothing
Hall & Oates - Maneater
Lisa Stansfield - All around the world
UB40 - Red red wine
Chaka Khan - Aint nobody

How could I have forgotten Dire Straits!!! :banghead:

Rush - Lots of good stuff from the 80's (especially their Moving Pictures album)
