Audi? Well, I'm an Audi fanboy but their win is inminent so nah.
Pescarolo? Henri and his team are dear to my heart but they have no chance now.
Aston? DAMN!
Corvette? DAMN!
Ferrari? Nah, too mainstream. Plus, they have the worst reputation of all the GT racers.

Why do they have the worst reputations? Because of the toyota crash?

Well to be honest it's due more to the number of incidental pit-stops the Audi has had to do. The guys on RLM said earlier that the Rebellion guys are actually expecting the #3 to overtake them.

I do say it with a hint of humour, relax. And not only the Toyota crash, also last years Audi crashes ;). However, to be honest, I don't have any reason in particular to root for Ferrari. Neither I have something against, I mean, Fisichella's team is doing an amazing job but...meh...
 
But for the record, in a few years time (maybe next year even) GT3 will be named GT1. Mark my words. GT1 WC already has GT3 cars.

Well that's exactly it, those guys are running a faultless race pretty much, really great program they put together. Their best lap is 5 seconds slower than the #3 Audi so they'll be taken for sure, but who knows, if the Audi runs into trouble again it'll be a great result for them.

Oh no i was was actually just asking. I don't really follow sports car racing much anymore so I though I must have missed something. I used to be a Risi fan but they no longer race in any le mans series if I am not mistaken.
 
3393.621 Km run so far (249 Laps * 13.629 Km).

I don't think we'll have a distance record this year. Audi hasn't really pushed it, because they haven't had the need to. And they are most likely shooting for a safe 1-2-3-4 instead of taking the risk of sending one of their cars in a brutal rampage in order to get a record.

Indeed. I actually mentioned it here earlier, but I still think that the Toyota works team can learn a thing or two from the Rebellion squad. That's how good they're doing their job 👍.

They've fallen way back (4laps), they won't make the gap up on pace so they need the Ferraris to have problems.

I also used it for a 100km rowing race I once took part in as a cox (yes I know, I'm a masochist:dopey:).
But back ontopic. Dome s102 is having a go again and eurosport (or is it le mans itself?) congratulates dindo with his birthday.

Essentially, GT1 is no more. The FIA GT1 this year is nothing more than GT3 cars. If you look at the car's line-up in this year's GT1 WC- BMW Z4 GT3, 458 GT3, SLS GT3 etc. Gone are the Maserati GT1, DBR9 or the GTR GT1. The only difference this year is that GT3 is a combination of gentlemen (amateur) + Pro drivers while only Pros are allowed in GT1.
 
I just thought of something major: When was the last time a Car Manufacterer won the Nurburging 24 Hour race and the Le Mans 24 Hour race Overall in the same year? I say this because if no one else has done it, then I think Audi will be the first to do it in a few hours time.

I didn't say GT1 as we know it will come back. Just saying that they'll name GT3 into GT1. Btw there are other differences: GT3 is a european championship as opposed to a world championship. Also the current GT1's have rules a little more free IIRC
 
Oh no...

Everytime I see one of the Pescas in the pits it breaks my heart. Henri Pescarolo definitely diserves winning Le Mans once as a team manager.

Porsche in 1978 is one of them. After that I'm not sure.
 
Been watching this all day while multi-tasking - and I keep thinking GT4 for some reason . . .maybe the quality of the picture. No GT5 ultra-reality at all.
Would be great to have these cars in the next GT.

Porsche in 1976 and 1977. Unless BMW counts for 1995.
 
A question for you guys: Which drivers have won both the 24 hours of Le Mans and the F1 world championship?
