easy scoring in this one.
I just threw on CH tyres and tightened the LSD compared to my normal race tune, drove around the track with a bit of a slide here and there and got silver.....

Ran this one quickly last night for c.12k points.

Compared to GT5, I struggle to find the scoring line on GT6! I'm not a great drifter, but I could usually get c.80-85% of the #1 ranked score... now I'm usually around 60-70%.

The scoring system is flawed in GT6 imo. first of all the line is narrower (i.e. just a couple of inches outside it will make it stop counting). But most of all, the line is like literally in the middle of the track, the out-in-out, or the racingline will net you very little points.:indiff:

Yeah, it's weird... in 5 you just had to stick as closely as possible to the inside... doesn't work like that in 6!

Looks to be close to what I always used up until version 2.11 when it suddenly did'nt seem to work anymore :/

I'll try this out, Thanks:D

it seems there is a variety of ways to strike a balance , some work better than others depending on certain factors

I suck at drifting and usually don't participate in the drift seasonals. Really wanted the Matte Green though and smoking up the streets of Madrid should be fun.
Could not do it.. always spinning out :banghead:
Then figured out a 'cheat' 💡.. Set my G27 to 240 degree mode to be able to counter steer much faster.. After some tries got gold with 6338 :). So.. I still suck at drifting, just now I can do it in Matte Green :P

I "cheat" even more.

I always drift with my DS3. It is a lot easier.

I have an issue. Rarely, I can score ~4000 points on the first corner, but most of the time I get around 2000-3000 because the score doesn't increase through a part of the corner. It gets to 1500, then goes to like 1700 and then to 3000. When I get 4000 points, the score increases normally - from 1500 to like 2500 on the same part of the corner.
I don't know what's the reason for that and I'd love it if someone could help me with it!

tl;dr - Most of the time my score doesn't constantly increase through the corner.

Thats normal. when you get 4000pts, to took the "correct" line, when you got 2-3000, you took the "wrong" line.

That's the case, yes, figured it out 10 minutes after I posted the original comment. Oops.

Then I guess you also realized that what the game consider to be the "correct" line is far from "correct":D

For a long time, I've been curious about how many that participate in these drift trials. So this time I intentionally made an awful round to get to the bottom of the list (scrolling down would take forever). And at the time I'm writing this, I'm at #42582 in the rankings with my 5 points. But I'm still not last. :eek:There are 3 people that have managed to score lower than me, with the last one on 1 point.

So to those thinking you stink because you can only get to the top 10000, you are still in the top 25%👍👍

Edit: Now I'm at #42593

Interesting, wonder what the numbers are like for the other types of seasonals? Personally, though, they're quick to do and it's enjoyable drifting cars

I have no idea, but I guess it's about the same on most of the drift trials. I'm thinking of doing the same on a few more just to get a fairly good estimation. I totally agree. Easy money:tup:
