Someone got penalized for it in the night for spinning their wheels. RLM says that it could be their hybrid that caused the spinning wheels, when they turned it on.

I think the reversing was proved to be not the case, apparently Toyota showed the stewards some video of the car being pushed back. This one though the evidence is clear.

Haven't seen any mention of any investigation on the spinning wheels from the stewards.

You can't start the engine until the car is on the ground.

Not sure what the exact rules say. But Toyota leaves the pit box under full electric, then it starts its engine sometime after it's moving.



Edit: Watching the lollipop man, raises his lollipop too early, and then he tries to take off, but he's still in the air.

Surely regardless of how the wheels are moving, whilst up on the jacks it’s still a danger to the pitcrew? So there should be a penalty.

Yeah, I would love to seem them race. But I doubt Toyota wants to let this one slip by because of driver error.
