You see, they did learn from their mistakes. Even applied their new knowledge. But it is not meant to be.
 
On a more positive note, thank god for that huge advantage over 3rd :nervous:.
 
It has 11 laps gap to 3rd place.. I think they will fix it and wont lose any places.
Now #7 in race mode again?
 
Shame it wasn't the #8.
 
Forgot to put fuel in the car?
 
Real late drama! Least is that they have a 12 laps buffer to the Rebellion. Loss of power since the Dunlop Chicane.
 
Conspiracy theories with possible penalty incoming for the #8?
#7 went 12 laps instead of normal 11. Fuel?
 
Sounds like they messed up on the fuel calculations, and the engine went into limp mode
 
Stop doing this Toyota. I couldn't handle it two years ago. I don't want to go through that again.

Edit: From what the commentators are saying, maybe the fuel flow was slower than what they thought, was going through the hose. Hence not having a full tank. They could have put it in fuel saving mode, basically full course caution button.

Rebellion ought to be given a class victory because it seems they really are LMP1-b and the Toyota hybrids are LMP1-a.

The gap between the leading Toyota and the Rebellion is bigger than that between the Rebellion and the best LMP2, so I think you are right. I was in favor of the EoT concept to save the race and the transition season, but ultimately, it failed. It would have been better to just let the Toyotas run as sole LMP1 cars and have a bigger LMP2 field.

Indeed. As it sits now,this has been the most ridiculous Le Mans running.

I think they tried stretching a stint to 12 laps, and miscalculated it.

What is with the lap limit rules? Anyways, P1 is allowed a max 11 lap stint, so isn't that a penalty too?
