Anthony Davidson was saying yesterday that he reckons the Toyota TS010 was such a fast car in its day that it would probably post similar laptimes to the current LMP1 cars. Pretty impressive for a 27 year old car...
So, is he saying that the track and tires are that much faster than those of 92/93? Because it qualified 3:26 in both years.
And if so, what does that mean for the Peugeot 905 LM that qualified with a 3:21 in 1992?

Will that have Dutch commentary though?

For the “biggest race in the world”, it sure does require a guy to go to some pretty stupid lengths just to watch the thing.

You can run the Dutch stream, mute it. Then open a new window and run radio le mans coverage to sync the audio

Yes, and for now it seems that there might not even be a stream available, as it is not listed so far, and they're not responding to my tweet asking them about it. If that is the case, we are going backwards in time.

I think a mix. I think the cars back then probably had equally as much, if not more, aero than they have now since they ran blown diffusers and ground effects in those years. According to Davidson, of course, I'm merely quoting him.

Giorgio Sernagiotto posted on Facebook and says he's fine. He also posted a couple pictures of the crash.

I'm fine!

The Rupture of the right suspension before 1 at chicane took off the car at 320 km / h.

Now let's hope we can fix the car!

I realize that....but then I have no ambient audio....no car sounds....no vroom vroom.

And again...hoops much? I need to use a VPN to illegally stream some Dutch feed, with the sound muted, and commentary dubbed in from a third party.....all to be able to live stream the “biggest race in the world”....did I wake up in a parallel universe, or have we gone back in time?

For the 2nd and 3rd qualifying sessions Radio le mans had the eurosport backgound audio oddly enough. So car sounds, car radio messages are all audible with commentary

*edit* btw not disagreeing with you that it is indeed ridiculous to go through so much trouble to watch a race. WEC needs to change this

Anyone got an idea of the fastest lap times for LMP1 and GTE PRO/AM for now?

EDIT: False alarm, found the official live timing. :) Feel free to to have a look at it here.

In LMP1 top 3 are as follows:
1: #8 Toyota - 3:15.377
2: #7 Toyota - 3:17.377
3: #3 Rebellion - 3:18.252

EDIT 2: - #5 Ginetta dropped to last in LMP1 and 14th overall, after fastest time dropped to another scrutineering infringement.

EDIT:
In LMP2 top 3 are as follows:
1: #48 IDEC Oreca - 3:24.842
2: #31 Dragonspeed - 3:24.883
3: #26 G-Drive Oreca - 3:25.160

#28 TDS had it's pole time removed due to a scrutineering infringement so #48 IDEC is on pole

In GTE Pro top 3 are:
1: #91 Porsche - 3:47.504
2: #92 Porsche - 3:49.097
3: #66 Ford - 3:49.181

In GTE AM top 3 are:
1: #88 Proton Porsche - 3:50.728
2: #86 Gulf Porsche - 3:51.391
3: #77 Proton Porsche - 3:51.930

This isn't GTS.

And if one wants to set themselves a challenge to beat that time, using the same hp and kg of the car in real life? The best place to do it would be in GTS, what's wrong with that? All I'm interested in is the BoP so I can make a lobby and try it out.

I would say the best place to try it would be iRacing
