Sorry about ruining the leaderboard. I am very concerned about SSR5, I was so far off the pace there.

Merc and BMW track
There very quick indeed

Sorry about ruining the leaderboard.
After many many cups of tea and time in the toilet I may get over it :D . I am in the same boat Bret My car will not cop-operate with that track

I will grab what points I can at SSR5 and should be better at TM 👍

TM suits 4wd a lot more. Although BMW is good for some reason :/ lucky there not in division 1 :)

About time too, it seems the first three races have/will suit the RWD cars, those beemers might have to be restrained in some way!

:D We cant have you flying past us in your modern machinery!

Hmm, what do u reckon lads. Shall we give them 200bhp? or is that a bit much:sly:

How about if you come last at SSr5 ill let you come in third at TM. Is that cool?

...I will try my absolute hardest to come last, can't promise anything though :p

Announcement

After reviewing the complaints after race 1 and investigating I have come to the following conclusion. I have decided to issue a general warning to all of the racers in this series due to the amount of infractions and the fact that it is early days for the championship, any further offences will be rewarded with penalties.
Here are the infractions-
Incorrect turbo fitted - 2 drivers
Running another car off the track- 2 drivers
Crossing the pit lines into traffic- 1 driver
Not following race protocol causing unacceptable delays- 1 driver
Swerving/blocking- 2 drivers
Corner cutting in qualifying- 2 drivers
Corner cutting in race- 3 drivers
Discussing drivers offences (alleged or otherwise) in public- 1 driver

This is our championship and its up to all of us to race in a fair manner, you have been warned. Re read the OP and enjoy the competition that the series offers.

Note about the cars- I am keeping a watch on the individual cars performances. If a particular model seems faster across the board they are liable to have their bhp lessened. This will only be done after the individual skill of the driver has been considered and will be done in small stages to ensure no one is treated unfairly.

Another reminder that BMW team members are to purchase one or more of the 3 90's DTM cars in order to join a team as soon as is possible.

See you on Wed if not before for some practice :D

I have a merc and calibra but I prefer the M3, can I not just stay in d2 and keep it?

No you cant use the BM, sorry dude but its only in for the guys who want to take part but dont have the cars. It may be de tuned after the next set of races too!
I will transfer you to team Mercedes or calibra now. The good news for you is a merc won both of the division 1 races on wednesday and in div 2 the calibra got 3rd in both races.

Which team would you like to join?

Shoulda kept schtum Hanc lol!!

Berty knew I had a calibra because I qualified for D1 in it, i dont like AWD cars in GT5 so I swapped for M3 and went in D2. Managed to get hold of a merc the other day will do some testing and let you know.

Ok, let me know soon as poss. I knew you had the Opel cally but as it was a bit heavier than the Vauxhall (and didnt have the word super in the name ) I didnt make a fuss.
The aim is to have 3 teams of 4 like in division 1, thats all.

With the BMW would it be better to add weight rather than restrict power? As its in the high speed corners the beemer is quicker. It would be harder to enforce but reducing the horsepower might make the difference in acceleration between all the cars too great

Thats a good point, I will take a look at the weight of all the cars later to see if it can be enforced reasonably. I dont want to restrict the power but maybe adding a few kilos would do the trick. (the damn thing corners well above what the other cars can)

Well guy i'm in Dtm series Here with Mercedes Clk, other cars are BMW, Audi TT Opel/Vaux Astra, and Audi A4, this one is the worst car of the series, 0,5 more slow than the others, just try to see if you can put equal to alfa , cali and merc :sly:

Make em drive a fiat 500, they would soon get one of the DTM 90's cars!

BMW is stock the heaviest. And Ballast isn´t a Time lowering method in my view (only if you add ridiculous amount of weight ;)
30-60kg doesn´t make a difference at least for me.
By reducing power you get a heavier slowdown effect.

@all D1 drivers:
Who has the Replay´s ??
I can´t be Steward respectively I wasn´t aware that I´m Steward. In addition I forgot to save the replay; I normally save every online race I compete in.

Ive got both too

pipi- I appreciate what you are saying but the BM is not a 90's touring car (or even a touring car) I dont hate it but have made it clear that it is to be phased out when the guys using it have got a car.

Mike- I might go for that, or a Citroen CV :D

Sakery- Are you a steward? Or shall I change it? Wordup should be div 1 point of contact for cutting or contact complaints.

Hancock- Ok ill change the roster and ship your points over later this evening. Good stuff.
