Im quite confused. Online I did a 1.24.7
With an improved setup, I go to the practise bit on GT5, with everything the same. 1.26.0
Then I try with the setup I used for 1.24.7. I get 1.26.4

I have no idea what happening. Im driving the same, hitting all my braking points yet im 1.3 seconds off my time before!! Its not making any sense.......Im not sure if my 1.24.7 was just me driving, maybe the bug. But I just dont understand where im losing the time. Im driving the same, same car, same wheel, same braking points, same entry etc etc etc

What times are people getting offline?

Online and offline physics are different. Practice in free run in your lounge (don't forget to use the series' settings) and everything should be as it was before.

I was using the series settings. Tyre fuel on, real grip
Nothing wrong with what I setup, the times are just so hugley different Im left confused as it where my car's is meant to be

A week ago, should be first, now looking middle of the pack. :indiff:

Andy, Im not doing 1.23s, I said that was a good time for SSR5, at TM im doing late 1.24.7s same as you :)

Probably John, last race the quali times were quite far apart but in both races the majority of people were within 20 seconds of each other by the end :D

I am doing 1.26's I think, is that bad?

I dont know :/ Im annoyed at the fact I was getting 1.24's now i cant get 1.25's

Just if that happens to someone in the race, thats going to effect the outcome of the race

Andy, I would just wait, sometimes that happens, one day you set a really good time and the next you are going slower, most of the time its just a blip and you shouldnt be worried about it, I just come back to it at another time. :)

Well seeing as johnboy got it at SSR5, then in his series and I got it in my series yesterday (with only 8 people) it seems that this "bug" is growing. I'd like to not stop racing, but if it can now effect an 8 player room and we havw 12 guys, I think the "bug" has a fairly high chance of happening. Also me and johnboy did testing on our own and this has happened to us, or we've both just had a blip

Not my call, just my opinion and I'll turn up tomorrow if it still happens

Try change the oil or repair the engine and repair the chassis :sly:

Ive only done like 50miles since I last repaired my engine and chassis!! Not wasting more money!!! Plus ive already changed the oil after the races last week :sly:

I might have to race with a controller tomorrow :(
I cant use my wheel as my shoulder has packed up, it's agonisingly painful whenever i move it. So using a wheel is out of the question

I wouldn't waste my time practising off line the physics are completely different as joe said, also make sure tyre wear is on as I find this makes a bit of difference to your lap times. In my opinion this so called bug has been around a lot longer then we think its just that now everyone's aware of it it's become a massive issue. The problem now is anyone who doesn't do well in qualifying or race will use the bug as an excuse! I will anyway :)

I've only noticed the bug twice, once about half a year ago (was slower in a race than free run by a couple of seconds for no reason), and for 1 lap of a race on saturday (it fixed when someone left at the end of the first lap). I also apparently had some lag in that race. When I was last in a room with you guys there was a ton of lag, making it incredibly difficult for me to race, play car football, and play either side in fugitive (I'd be for restarting the fugitive laptime board after the online gets patched/fixed, and since only 3 of us have done it).

I bet that you guys ran with tyre wear off or something small that makes that tiny bit of difference, there is no bug when your on your own and I have never seen it in a room with less than 11 people. Stop being paranoid, your all making me crazy :D
