Radiolemans came up with a very plausible theory.

Their theory is that the #2 and #3 Audis started on uncut intermediates with a wet setup. This makes them slower at the moment, but as the track gets wetter, these two cars will come alive. So Audi's gambling on much wetter track conditions as time progresses with these two cars.

Very plausible indeed.. By looking at the weather, I think it's just gonna get wetter. We'll see.
