Looks like the Megane Trophy already in GT6, but as a Bimmer.

Go check the other BMW cars and tell me it took them 5 months to do? it doesn't even look like a concept car, just a BMW race car. Either BMW or PD was lazy; I actually think it took more time/ressources to do the video than it took to draw the car.
As for that Homer car, not convinced, might actually be more work... (look at that detail! lol)

Considering that it looks so different that the sketch we had don't you think that maybe BMW restarted the car because they decided they wanted something that looked more like a car they already make?

It's harder to make a realistic looking car than it is to make a wedge with a load of air intakes and a giant wing.

For instance, do you really think Mercedes-Benz spent more time designing their GT concept than they did on their DTM cars?
 
@meek, I didn't vote disappointed because i'm not. It's a great car. Concepts very, very rarely have interiors, and frankly if a VGT comes with one, i'll be hugely surprised.

An interior that doesn't exist in the first place shouldn't really determine disappointment.
 
To anyone disappointed with the design, I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before but the Mercedes VGT car came as a normal (albeit damn quick) version and a later faster version, so the design sketch could be that later faster version.

Because I definitely agree with your statement, it's faster to draw a VGT/concept car than it is a realistic looking one, and I therefore don't get the "think that car design is simple" posts. I didn't say it was, I said it doesn't take 5 months to draw a concept car (that doesn't even look like one, see below) !

I don't give a damn about the interior --I play on hood or exterior view-- but it just looks like a race car, not a VGT car (check the Furai, Mercedes VGT's, the Citroen GT, or the sketches for future (??) VGT cars, for what I mean by that).

Note, I actually think the car looks good, but I'm still VERY disappointed. I wanted some future looking car, not some Z3/M5/GT300 mix.

To be honest we just want different things from our cars. You want mental, giant-winged 800bhp supercars whereas I prefer cars based on existing models that look like they could potentially be built.

Neither of us are right or wrong per se, it's just a matter of taste.

Like I said a second ago though:

So there's still a glimmer of hope for you!

Who says it has to look like a road car spaceship from the year 4000? The Furai is nothing to do with VGT, or GT, and that looks like more of a race car than this. I don't see how it looking racy makes it look less special.
 
A bit, yes. But poor engine sounds and lack of interiors aside, I'm not at all dissapointed. The car is drop-dead gorgeous and fun to drive.

The FT-1 also has an interior, and it doesn't even run in real life.

Real life concept me thinks. Interior was at least shown in real life, so they had to include that.

Yeah I was disappointed but only cause of the standard features and not being able to change wheels or paint it. The design is good tho imo. Just wish I could get it in silver :/
 
About to experience the thing once this update has downloaded.

It looks beautiful. I want it to be scary and visceral to drive.

I've read that it's really fun with Sports Soft tires.

That's what I'm going to do with it. :)

Never did I say this. Nor did I imply it. What I did say was that because it's a concept car, you shouldn't expect there to be an interior.

In that case, I guess the BMW simply shouldn't be in the game, as the car itself hasn't been build. It being a concept does not mean it can't have an interior. Do you honestly think that designers don't have the interior in mind when designing concept cars? The inside of the car is every bit as important as the rest of the visual design.

Yeah, they do take it into consideration. But if it really were just as important, there wouldn't be so many concept cars built lacking interiors.

What exactly is your arguement for why a concept car can't (shouldn't) have an interior? Because it being a concept does not magically exclude it from having an interior. The Toyota FT86 cars are concepts as well, yet they have interiors. In other words, they are feature complete.

Your putting words into my mouth. I didn't say it can't. I didn't say it shouldn't. Maybe my last post was a little too blunt and that's where you got this from. Also, no such thing as a "feature complete" concept car, most are just clay models after all, at least that's how I see it. Feature complete would apply to the production model, no?

I'll say it again. If you can't be consistant in the quality of car models, then don't bother. Having such varied quality decreases the overall value of the game. Imagine if you played an RPG or FPS game. You walk around in a town, and spot two NPC's. One of them is fully detailed, the other is lacking facial textures. Would this be acceptable? Of course not.

Well... the BMW is living up to equal quality of other (premium) cars in the game. Just lacks interior, which I personally don't factor into quality. Maybe that's just me.
 
Guys come on. Remember the Mercedes AMG VGT?
We got a racing version. Maybe the BMW will also get one?
