why do people think its m235? The front is almost identical to the m4 dtm. And that what theyre currently promoting.
i guess i see what i want to seeThe headlights and grille, roofline and the taillights are all the same as those of the BMW 2 series.

Nope.
Yes, it's what they're promoting in Forza, they got the M4 DTM race car. This is clearly a 2 series
Also, the BMW forums are already talking about how close to the recently announced M2 this will be.
Even from the sketch it's obvious it was a 2 series...
Some of you think that car design is simple...

Ironically, Mercedes-Benz has said it is likely to make a limited production of the VGT based on the SLS AMG Black Series. If it does happen I can see it being based on the upcoming AMG GT though. All of the Vision GT cars are pretty pointless; but there's very much a sliding scale to that. I'm much more impressed with the tangible and relevant one BMW put out which really does fit in the context of the game and seems entirely like a real world car that could be announced for serial production tomorrow than the design student's orgasm that Mercedes' was (and I suspect most Vision GT cars in the future will be, assuming PD continue to stick to it).
Mercedes didn't say that (they in fact said the opposite). A coachbuilder in Florida did 5 months ago with no news since, and it's very likely Mercedes won't let them if they ever actually tried.
And after two years of Citroen stringing everyone along about how they were totally going to build what was essentially the original Vision GT car (taking it on public tours, making glowing press releases about caving to popular demand to produce it in limited numbers) before very quietly canceling it even after completely changing everything about it under the skin, I'd be very surprised if anything came of the (unofficial, probably illegal) under the table attempt to build the Vision Mercedes on top of an existing Mercedes anyway.
and..If we tone down some of the racing details , like the "extra" width and race orientated aerodynamics then it is a window to a future production model.
The M2 is influenced by the M235i Racing in which this concept [The VGT] looks like a more extreme version.
But if you look at every detail of this concept , every element from the aerodynamic packet to the body sculpture. If we take and shrink it to realistic proportions you get the look of an M car and even so a modern M car with sculpting for air curtains etc.
Even the inclusion of the side breather is an indication how it forms that sculpture at the front wheel arch.
Take a closer look at it and you can see it is more prominent rather than the stuck on look of the M235i Racing. But you also see the progress of evolution from this element on the 1M Coupe.
Even at the rear you can see the ducts that were on the 1M rear bumper assembly carried over and a similar cut-out for the diffuser.
1er M Coupe to M2 Coupe is continued progress but still with the same goal to appeal to younger customers and customers who are young at heart.
This VGT has an I6 engine.Disappointed no. Expected a little bit more radical design.
I don't drive with interior view.
Only downside is no big V8 sounds yet.
We need more thunder in GT6
And still nothing after 6 months.““I think I mentioned this in the past, but we’re really working to change the fundamental way that the engine sound works,” Kazunori Yamauchi said during a press session at Polyphony Digital’s Tokyo office. “Right now I have a feeling that it might not make it for day one for GT6.””
I'm not disappointed at all. This car is gorgeous and handles nicely. It's easy to drive consistently with RH tires.
This VGT has an I6 engine.
it does look better in black, but I still wish you could paint it like the Mercedes VGTs...I'm not disappointed at all. I think it looks great especially in black. I can understand some folks disappointment that it doesn't like the earlier they came up with but I like it.
They know how to market car, image, and driving pleasure.I think BMW has an interesting cycle when
developing its VGT. Firstly they modeled an i8 to be a M1
successor, then BMW changed mind and instead modeled
an M4/M235i to be a 2002 Turbo / 3.0 CSL successor. Yeah it looks too "normal" for VGT to be honest.
