Hey Guys,

I am in need of your help. I am wondering if there is a decent Ferrari out there that doesn't suffer form serious understeer. I have tried the F458 a few times and F40. The first was just as bad tuned as it is untuned, and the F40 was somewhat alright (couldn't really control it if going into corners fast), but couldn't get passed the Enzos in the new seasonal and any lost time from slowing down was very hard to reclaim.:ouch:

Would someone please be able to point me in the right direction? I am getting tired of wasting my time and credits on these cars, just to be dissapointed. Oh! I should add that I just use the DS3 and my turning sensitivity is always around 4 or 5, I don't have a wheel...I am sure that has some bearing.

Thanks!

HUH? The 458 Italia is a DREAM handler. Search up top for a tune & you won't be sorry!

have to remember even though ferarri have this racer reputation they are still just road cars and thus can be lacking without tuning and setup.

430 Spaghetti Stripe (Scuderia '07) tune to max -- put on the low profile color match wing
top speed to default except on Sarthe then to 215-220

Send Friend Request to Racin-Rev and you can borrow mine later today

Yes the 458 is an awesome handler, but it will still understeer if you try to take a corner too fast. Slow down a little, and see how fast you'll be. :lol:

My favorite Ferrari is the 599. With just a bit of tuning it is a cornering beast, and that engine is a weapon. But it does require finesse. You can't just hammer it.

Slow in fast out - and that's especially true of road cars that lack super-light frames and front downforce.

You won't be able to drive road-going sportscars like race cars... once you've got used to that idea then I think you'll see the 458 in a new light!

There is no need to tune to the max, any Scuderia with 530-540hp, wing and sports soft tires will do the job. Everything else stock.

Oversteer? Its exactly the opposite with me, the car understeers terribly for me if I try and run too fast of a lap. Still, the 458 is great even with that little flaw. The Enzo is also fun and with a body colored wing it looks like a Modern Day F40. (Which may make sense, since its internal name I believe is the F60).

Indeed it is. If you look at the back quarters of the F40, F50 and F60 you can see the DNA evolving, gorgeous!

Body colored wing is available on the Enzo. 2 of them are available if you buy the car in Nero. Both wings cost an astonishing 50,000 credits. Sadly, the car without the aftermarket wing to me feels unstable.

If you think the 458 is bad then it's not a problem with the car there is a problem with the driver. Sorry dude; but search the threads. The 458 is one of if not THE most beloved car in the game.

I tried it on Sports Soft tires for the seasonal and it made a huge difference to the handling (otherwise the car is stock). I was almost quick enough to win the La Sarthe seasonal with it, but had to cut the last chicane to get past the P1 Enzo. If you tuned it to the same PP as the AI it would be an easy win.

458 italia murdered this seasonal with me, it was almost a shame for the AI. Adjusting the LSD and camber/toe is the key.

Did your F458 have racing soft tires on it?

You have the right tune? want to get near that time lllloooooolllll 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

I haven't really tried, but I gave it a go a long ago with a lightly tuned 458 (620hp adn 1350kg) and my time was like 6:30. A 700+hp and 1250kg fully tuned car would crush that time.

I'll give it a quick test and share the tune with you if I can go near the predicted 6:15.

6:17 and went wide a couple of times with this setup:

Height = Front -20 Rear -17
Springs = Front 8.5 Rear 9.5
Damp (ext) = Front 4 Rear 6
Damp (comp) = Front 2 Rear 3
Roll Bars = Front 4 Rear 5
Camber = Front 1.6 Rear 1.6
Toe = Front -0.08 Rear 0.12
Max Speed = 350 kmh
